Lewis wins and fawns about representing his country from his palace in Monaco. Ha ha
There's quite a contrast between the multimillionaire tax exile in his Monaco pad and Rashford isn't there? I applaud Hamilton's skill but why can't he pay his taxes like everyone else? Surely he's got enough dough?

Rashford? What for? He's been bang average for quite a lot of the year.
Sports ‘personality’ of the year, what he has done, the awareness and money he has raised for children in need gives him a great personality in my book.

I am not sure you can ever have enough dough but residing in Monaco will help ensure that he does.

I can't say I have too much time for Hamilton but nothing to do with taxation or racism.

Can't really compare the two can you not sure Man Utd would like Marcus commuting from Monaco and if you don't think footballers have fancy accountants that avoid paying full tax on their wages exactly the same as Lewis.

Shows you what a complete non event it was when Jordan 'feckin'; Henderson gets runner up. For what? Captain of the team.... Gee f'in whiz. It certainly wasn't for his football skills or prolific goal scoring and goal assists. A utter and total joke.

They main awards should have been cancelled and specialised the event with awards for the fringe nominees, like the young lad and Capt Tom, with appreciative mention to Rashford who has done a truly fantastic job with the school meals etc.

Lets no forget the two singers, one of which had a hit in 1987 and nothing much since and the other one sporting the most stupid hairstyle you could possibly imagine to know doubt distract you from hearing her poor singing.

To be honest Bendit, I'd say the show was more Pride of Britain than Sports Review.

I know that you are not a fan of Henderson but I believe he has done a lot of good work to help those affected by Covid in the Scouse area.

Agreed with the non event bits and Henderson etc.

The "fringe nominees" were more approprate for this year. It was good to see the special mention for the murdered copper who was the unsung hero for the South East. He was very popular and did a hell of a lot for my local rugby club (East Grinstead).

Lets not forget St Marcus, feeding the kiddies.
Should the program not have been named best sportsman in a charity capacity of the year?

SEASIDE2020 - Thats fair comment, and he should be applauded for that, but highlighted as a 'Sports Person Of The Year', that's just plain ridiculous. If he wasn't Captain of Liverpool, he wouldn't have been considered for anything of a sporting slant.

I used to love Question Of Sport as well as SPOTY but like a lot of programmes they have a shelf life.
I used to love The Goodies but i watched an episode recently and it was absolutely awful.

They needed to keep down the guest list and he was there to get the team award. Can't think of any other reason why hed be anywhere near otherwise.

Bendit

To be fair to him, he WAS/IS the captain of Liverpool and they did win the Premier League very, very convincingly.

But yes I won't pretend that I would have thought he - or Rashford for that matter - would have been anywhere near this award if asked to consider possible winners prior to the nominations.

I also won't pretend that Henderson is the reincarnate of Johan Cruyff but I think you perhaps do him a disservice by giving him little credit for the qualities that he does have but I guess the Bendit/Henderson debate has been done to death on here and then a bit more.

It was a contrast in character. I appreciate the geographical requirements of Hamilton's job.

Nope you attacked Lewis for not paying tax and you'd be wrong he does pay and was in the top 5000 in the UK for last year tax payers he just doesn't pay it directly off his earnings.
