Stephen Crainey

Putting aside local politics etc, I wish him all the best and well done to Fleetwood for being brave. Actually hope he keeps them up as they worked hard to get there. Yes they spent to get there but everyone spends in football and lots don't get anywhere.
Crainey was def a bit of a legend during his time here as we're the majority of the Prem. League squad

I feel sorry for Grayson. Fleetwood have loads of injured players, some of them long term.
I can't see a new manager making any difference.
Unless, of course, that Pilley is going to put his hand in hid pocket for new signings.
Surely that is what hew should have done for SG?
Time will tell.

Codwood becoming a bit like Noblot. Little clubs where ex Blackpool players go to finish their careers or start off in management. Bet their fans hate it.

I feel sorry for Simon as he has more credits than debits with BFC. As far as his tactics are concerned sadly they appear to be starting to look like out of step with today's high tempo football. Possibly needs time out and to rethink his strategies.
I genuinely wish him well.

Brave or skint.

When I was doing multidrop deliveries I delivered one to Craines. What a smashing bloke & loved talking about BFC. Came across as a real fan of the club & when I saw this thread was hoping he was McCalls replacement.

Feel sorry for Grayson?!

He’s been utter garbage in his last four jobs and become considerably richer for complete failure, four times on the bounce.

Big chance for SC and done very well with U23’s, the FTFC model has definitely changed recently.

Christ, you can think somebody is a legend for us in their playing career and hope they tank whilst working for a club whose fans and owner have enjoyed our problems.

Brilliant footballer, but I hope FTFC continue to struggle even whilst he's there.
And a good morning to you too Minister of Doom & Gloom. 👍

It's fine margins for him. Fleetwood just don't have enough good players. Joe Garner dislocated his shoulder last week - and won't be properly fit for months. Captain Rossiter is still missing.
Losing by one goal has been the norm at Fleetwood. He needs to lift the energy levels to see if that can make the difference.

I'd be genuinely gutted if the Cods stayed up instead of the Shrimps. Morecambe deserve to be in that league to build for the future .. can't say the same of Pilley's mob.

Be interesting to see who the board will be backing tonight in the papa Johns trophy game.

Bolton who everyone hates.

Cods who 99.9% hate.

The likes of Wiz/Comical Allez will be in a right state of mind tonight not knowing who they want to win. 😂

Crainey is a legend. I hope he uses Cods as a stepping stone to a great managerial career. To do that, I guess he needs to be relatively successful there, but they aren't serious rivals to us. It's the same as wishing Evatt well at Barrow, but not at Bolton. I hope Crainey doesn't do his career any harm at Cods.

Evo V Crainey
Crainey to win tonight for me;

Evo won .. I'd sooner Crainey kicks the Cods in to touch and comes back to us.
I bet he would love to return. I had a couple of conversations with him at Pool Foot when I did some work there and he said he had his best time with us.

Bet he'll wish they'd have stayed in the FA Cup - Acc Stanley away today which as we all know is not an easy place to go!
