Saw him on TV this morning, trying to deflect the harm done to the NHS on to unions, and by definition staff.

What an obnoxious **.

He went to King Edward School Lytham. I never liked the school because of its elitism (and I went to a Grammar School which was similar), and to the inbred attitude of privilege. Strangely I was once invited to be a Governor. I firmly turned down the invitation because of this.

Barclay's parents must be really proud of how he's turned out. A very bad advert for the school.

As you say, the standard of governors they are trying to recruit... has clearly fallen....a very bad advert for the school...

Has a pop at someone's education only to find out they went to Grammar school themselves.🤣🤣🤣

I subscribe to the Groucho Marx view -I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

This equally applies to the masons and rotary as well. Forget the crap about supporting charities - the great majority of members are only in it for themselves.

Just as a matter of interest, if you didn’t attend King Ted’s how do you know it fosters an inbred attitude of privilege?

I bet the school thinks he's a great advert for them. I went to somewhere similar and they really do celebrate those types as 'their own.'

He's a decent guy.

Was at school and law college at the same time as him.

Don't like the Tories but he's alright.

I went to school with him. Never really knew the guy though. King Teds was a great school by the way. Just look at how I turned out 😀
That would be back inthe day when King Teds' boys had to walk to school on one side of the road and Queen Mary's girls on the other. Was that to prevent you catching something called 'real life'?

It must have improved after I left. Horrible place, hated almost every minute of it. With a few honourable exceptions the teachers were sadistic bastards. No wonder it produces cants like Barclay. ( I was there 1960-6)
