Suggestions for Strikers?

If Jerry goes I would be inclined to look at Sam Nombe of Exeter , looked a decent striker on the highlights programme and out of contract in a year. Scored 17 last season and 24 so a good age to improve.
Exactly the player I was thinking of. 17 goals (2 of which were penalties), aged 24, has some pace and looks strong, good reactions and his 17 goals last season were a real mixed bag so not a one trick pony. Worth a shout.

In our last league 1 campaign, Joe Pigott of Wimbledon caused us most problems. We couldn't handle him, he was mobile and good in the air. He went to Ipswich but didn't get much of a look in and spent last season on loan at Pompey. Maybe we could get him for a reasonable price. Used properly there's a decent player there and a more mobile replacement for big Gaz.
I was quite taken with him but I'd be worried about the Chris Malkin effect. I.e. a big lad I'd noticed before and was quite keen on coming in and being horrendous. It's only about 25 years since Malkin and I'm clearly not yet over it 😂

Apparently once he settled in he was very good for Argyle.

But Schumacher is obviously an excellent coach. We didnt make the most of our players last season by a long way.
Indeed but that still doesn't mean he'll be ready for the step up to the Championship. Good luck to the lad, I was disappointed we let him go as he clearly had losts of potential but MA wanted to bring in his own midfield. The rest is history.

I’m glad he’s come good for them, for us he was like a ghost.
What, in the two or three games he actually played?

He was fantastic against Watford, caused them all kinds of problems. Then Appletart played him in a completely unsuitable midfield two against West Brom with Carey and acted surprised when they got the runaround.

Joke of a manager didn’t know how to use him and we lost a promising player.

Agree the manager didn’t help him at all the little amount that he was here. Our midfield, at that point was crying out for an experienced leader and Carey needed that and probably Wright just got to us at a chaotic time.

Like I said, I’m glad for his sake he’s getting better where he is.

You forget that in the season we were promoted Jerry scored 20 goals - hard to find a striker who can knock in that many and if Sadler fancies a charm offensive then keeping Jerry could go a long way to helping us next season.

I would like Adam idah from norwich
Only played 9 times last year for them
Young Irish striker and it helps he scored a hatrick against PNE. (In the cup)
Think he would cost a bit but if he wants first team regular football.... He may move and we have other Irish players.
No chance I'm afraid

You seem to be a simpleton, so let me explain it:

1) he won’t come
2) they won’t sell him to us
3) we won’t put all of that money into one player (least of all one who turns 29 in a couple of weeks and will be a declining asset from day one)

Ask a grown-up why real football is different to whatever video game you’re playing
I don't think there's any need for name calling on a forum which is open to public's opinions, yours is no better than anyone else and unless you've got a crystal ball can I please ask you wind your neck in?

Though I do agree it's unlikely there's no harm in wanting something to happen, right?

I think Cole Stockton would have been a great shout but he signed for Burton Albion yesterday.

I would’ve taken David McGoldrick but I think he has gone to Notts County.I know he has had periods where he hasn’t scored enough goals but he brings more than goals in his link up play.35 now but I reckon he could have offered something for a League One side.A player I’ve liked since being at Southampton nearly twenty years ago.

Well you can ask…

Was only ever going to leave to go to Notts
