Summer transfer rumours thread.

You mean the bloke who got his team to the brink of the playoffs with no backing from the chicken fiddlers?
Yeh we don't want a manager that gets teams up and around the playoffs do we🤦‍♂️
Don’t get me wrong Mowbray has done ok over the years but all good things come to an end and Mowbray has come to the end of his.
I know a Rovers ST holder who stopped going last 6/8 games this season because of the style of play he insisted on playing.
At one time it looked like Rovers were set for fighting Bournemouth for second spot yet they blew it big time.

They played some really good stuff at Bloomfield Rd earlier in the season, dominated the second half. Moved the ball around really well.

Just not for me, he’s nearly 59 and the complete opposite of appointing a young up and coming coach.

Don’t you worry about us. Season ticket sales are the best they’ve been in years, we have a great young manager and have proven championship players. With a couple of additions and Lowe at the helm who knows… there is a real buzz around the club at the moment. Blackpool on the other hand… 😂😂
You have a shite squad which only did okay due to loanees. Shite stadium. Shit kit. Shit fans. Goodbye.

My mate big fan thought the same - decent but thought he had run his course

Not the worst by any means but would be expensive too

Jeez… if our squad is shite and our stadium is shite then god only knows what that makes yours.
Great reply. Straight out of the play ground.

Far better atmosphere and visually looks far better around the area. Least the core of our squad was ours. Without your loanees you’d have gone down.
Without our loanees we wouldn’t have finished mid table but would have still stayed up. Would forest have got promoted without the use of the loan market? Not a chance. We use the loan market well, as have other successful championship teams in recent times. We will do the same again this year with possibly Archer on loan again. Who by the way is twice the player of any strikers you lot currently have on your books.

The core of your squad is full of very average players that have over performed, due to you having a very good manager in place, and the momentum of being promoted. You will struggle big time next season with your current squad.

Bank holiday weekend on a rivals forum you sad **

Shit squad which finished above yours? No manager now because he wanted to fuck off aa soon as he could.

Our lads were on holiday from January. Dead rubber. Soon forgot the booing of the exact same squad havent you?

Pathetic bunch of fickle cunts as a supporter base. Horrific.
If that was true then they all want kicking out of your club if they cannot be bothered.

BTW are you going to accept the bet or are you just hot air with no conviction to what you post??

But can we buy them? I suspect that may be why the manager left, not being able to get in his targets!?
And you base this on stuff you've read on the Internet ?
He left for a massive wage increase, coaching Prem players and working out tactics and formations for SG, who is basically a front man for Villa as he was with Rangers.
So basically, same job, less pressure, more money. Only difference is, he is straight down the tunnel at the end of the game and doesn't get to do interviews or beat his chest to the fans,

Judged by most on here it seems your owner has plowed all his money into the new training ground, which sadly for you, won’t keep you in the championship. Your best player is likely going to get sold and you’ve lost a very good young manager in Critchley. It won’t be long before the ‘best fans in Europe’ turn against the new owners and you’re back down in league 2 where you belong. Hope you’ve got plenty of tennis balls ready 😆
It's funny watching this myth take off amongst gullible nobbers.

It'll also be funny when we start signing players and their deluded theories go out the window.

The only fanbase thick enough not to understand the boycott.

This best fans in Europe is a made up joke by them, we're great fans, been said many times by opposition, doesn't mean we can't have off days or issues.

But we're a hell of a lot better fans than you lot. As proven by the pathetic reaction of your fans to the embarrassing defeat at Bloomfield road, beaten by a side who just came up and spent way less. Turned on your team so badly that day, tinpot.

How do we belong in league 2? Both had similar attendances last season. This warped view of you being way bigger is why it's so funny when you do what you do best and achieve fuck all again. How long have you been in the championship now? We caught you up in less than half a season after all we've been through 😅

We've not even undone all the Oyston harm yet, which over the next few years we will with a training ground and new stand completing the stadium.

For a fanbase who calls us deluded you don't half spoute some of the most deluded shite of all.

I take it you're not a Blackpool fan!

I am not basing it on anything other than what possibly could be, having only signed a long contract only months before and at the time being happy with the direction of the club.
if you took time to notice I used question marks after my statements, so I was asking questions rather than basing it on anything from the internet or otherwise!

" I suspect that's why the manager left " ? or no ?, indicates it's what you suspect. Why do you suspect that's why the manager left ?

The committee ought to be able to carry on with incoming signings as that’s the point of having a committee and a head coach rather than a manager that does it all. We are close on Opoku.
Looked a decent player the couple of times I’ve seen him. But another CB/LB?

This is why I think the new guy will be of a similar ilk to NC.

Someone like Mowbray, for example, would want full control of incomings I'd imagine, so I don't see an appointment like him happening. After only two years of the big plan being implemented, is it likely the blueprint will change and we'll tear it all up and start again? It makes much more sense to slot in another HC and keep everything else in place than start from scratch again.

No it doesn,t. It means I suspect that is why the manager left, but I do not know, hence the question mark. If I had known for certain I would not have asked the question and would have omitted the word suspect and the question mark!

I remember when SS set out the model he was clear that in effect it does not matter who the head coach is as regardless we will recruit in the same way and if/when the head coach moves on for whatever reason the recruitment principles remain the same.

This is another reason why the rumour that Critchley left due to unavailable transfer funds seems unlikely.

Marc Oni. Wiry midfielder from AC Morse in Italy Serie B. Very active on Twitter loves to communicate with fans.
