Summer Transfer Rumours trois - Will Appy (re)sign anyone?

What do you mean they’ve said we aren’t a selling club? I’d love to see proof of this.

Our whole model is on buying young talent and selling for a healthy profit and reinvest.
You’re misinterpreting my post. What I meant was that in the past, KOKO took profit and ran. That’s the signs of a selling club.

We take profit and reinvest. That’s the model we’ve built, so I would hope that’s still the model now, and going forwards.
It’s all hearsay.

I believe the new players will play in tangerine balaclavas today with no names on the shirts.
Haha, nah it’ll be CP Company tangerine hats with the goggles pulled down.
With Apples wearing Stone Island, it makes sense to me 😂

If the club sold a tangerine one, I’d be in there like a flash. 😆

Joe Pigott has signed for Pompey from Ipswich. Opens the door further for Jerry to go to Ipswich. Although I'll be sorry to see him go I'm not convinced he has got what it takes to score consistently in the Championship. I would like to see a young Premier League forward in the mould of Ellis Simms/Cameron Archer to add some extra quality to our attack.

It’ll be interesting to see Jerry in a side that’s actually playing football, service to feet. Let’s be fair, a lot of Critch ball was pass along the back before an aimless ball forward. Under Critchley we relied on the other team losing the ball to build our attacks whereas it seems under Appleton the plan is to build our own attacks and benefit from them. I’ve a feeling Jerry could thrive under that way of playing, he’s definitely good enough too.

They've just paid money for Harness who is a winger/striker.

Can't see MA letting JY have the captaincy. That formation yesterday screams Jerry Yates playing in it, far more balls in behind.

We absolutely need to push the boat out for Simms.
Pretty toothless up front at the moment.
Worth every penny and an investment opportunity if he gets 20 for the season.

I think he’s out of the question now mate. We will get someone else.

Unless your Man City, Real Madrid or Barcelona all clubs are selling clubs.
You missed out Man Utd. They rarely sell good players. I’m fact they normally give them away for free, then pay a fortune to get them back.
Then….. give them away for free again 😂

Chelsea aren’t far behind them either….

Rhys & his dad have been Liverpool fans their whole life. Neither are fans of PNE, Rhys has been going to Liverpool's academy since he was about 9 or 10, I doubt he's ever attended a PNE game despite living ten minutes from Deepdale.

He clearly knew a lot about Ben Davies and his career before he signed for Liverpool, must have watched him somewhere!

Does say he watched him in the academy, he may have gone to watch PNE at some point fair enough, but I can assure you his dad is one of these Liverpool fans from Preston/Blackpool insert town other than Liverpool and Rhys grew up supporting Liverpool saw him often when he was growing up in a Liverpool shirt walking about, like I say started out at Liverpool's academy at about 10. Pro players rarely end up supporting a team as we do, because they're in academy football on weekends and don't really ever get the chance to support their local team.
