The old bill let the Sunderland fans into the away end 🤦🏻‍♂️

There were at least 6 coaches of Seasiders - last game of the season

I guess thats the game we had to win to be promoted. 1 0 up , seven minutes to go, and Bobby Kerr and Tony Towers scored with worldies. Carlisle went up, and we had just destroyed them 4 0 at home. Thousands of Pool there but still glad to reach our coach. Most home fans missed their goals as they were too busy chasing us all round Roger Park.

Was he a big fella then, this Roger Park? 😁

Argh remember that game well. The Sunderland fans poured in behind us.

There was a footbridge on the way back to the coaches, which as I recall were parked up near the sea front.

We ran as fast as ever over that bridge as their fans were just insane. I was only 14 and bloody scared being chased by grown men.

One lad got back on our coach eventually, soaking wet, blood dripping down. Having been chased literally into the sea and still got attacked.

Sure on the way back we stopped at Killington Lake Service Station on the M6, where a freezer got removed and thrown into the Lake for some reason.
