Sunderland concerns?

Anything less than top is crap for a team like Sunderland. The fact that this lot aint top and walking the league shows that they aint the best. They could finish top and fair play to them. Regardless Blackpool are very capable of beating Sunderland.
you forgot to add twice !

Sunderland are more concerned about us than we are about them.

They have a point about Embleton, as he's become more influential in recent games. But I trust Coach Critch to come up with a solution! 🍊

Not confident that we will win both games but confident we can win one.
I wasn’t confident of winning games against Notts Forest in the playoffs. We need to treat these two games like they are the playoffs. There must be a similar amount of confidence in and around the team now so anything can happen.

Some strange comments by the Mackems considering they have only won 1 more game than us. Their goals against and losses columns are very impressive though for League 1.

I met loads of Sunderland fans when their game was called off against us and they came down to watch AFC Blackpool, they all seemed a good bunch to be fair to them. Down to earth and up for a laugh - I think we all know a message board isn't the best representation of a fanbase at times

Some of their comments are unbelievably arrogant regardless though, you'd think the amount of seasons they've spent in League One would have humbled them slightly - the poster "gipetto" especially.

You have to just look at the facts, we haven't lost a game since 20th Feb. We're on an absolutely UNBELIEVABLE run, we haven't lost in 13 games and have now won 8 of those. If you had to play that team TWICE in your last run of fixtures when you're gunning for automatic promotion and every point counts I wouldn't be too cocky about it!

Both teams and sets of fans will go into the game(s) full of confidence and rightly so we’re both the inform teams in the division.

It’s probably fair to say already they will be the best team that we face / given what we have seen against Hull/Peterborough & pompy - having said that in my eyes we play much better against the better teams / especially if they’re not sitting back which Sunderland won’t.

I’d be confident of one win against them, as long as we don’t get off to one of our tired laboured starts.

I think the whole squad believes we can still make the automatics & getting 4/6 points from them 2 games will go a long way to helping that.

We've heard it all before from the likes of Wednesday, Forest fans etc

Let them underestimate us. See what happens.
You need to smash them and kick down their thin veneer of confidence.
Always been a brittle club and no doubt think its simple a matter of meeting the Barcodes in the Championship next season.

They might mention they won the FA Cup in 1973 (rolls eyes smiley)

Interesting point one of them makes.

In a few weeks I wonder if they’ll pull Embo, as when they loaned him out to us in Jan, we weren’t looking like playoff contenders.

Obviously he can’t play against them, but I can see their board recalling him. Could you imagine if he bagged the goal on the last day of the season to get us into the automatics and leave them in the playoffs.

I don’t think they can pull it at this stage but I’m not sure

I’m not entirely sure myself but I’d lean towards them being able to. We recalled Shaw from Stockport today.

Yeah, it always used to make me laugh watching them on MOTD when the were in the Premier League. They'd go 2-0 down in the first half, and then 70% of the crowd would boo and leave the ground 🤣 The most fickle fans in football.

I'm sorry but how funny is this commentView attachment 5564

Where is Sunderland's credit for:
A) Drawing away to Peterborough
B) Battling back and beating a dogged Oxford side

Ahem..

I thought the exact same thing when I read that! Shows how blinkered he is and only really following Sunderland so shouldn't comment on other teams...doesn't seem to be stopping him though.

Edit to add: I really didn't like the way they carried on against Oxford. They beat a 10 man team 3-1 and were acting like they were the underdogs and were wronged...when it was one of their coaches who headbutted an Oxford player! Bizarre.

I've known loads of Sunderland fans over the years and they are the most moody bunch of deluded half-wit excuses for supporters you could ever come across. I hope we smash them.
