Take A Bow Connor Ronan

Watched on ifollow and thought at times we played well - particularly him.

I think Southend got it right in the conditions by shooting much more than we did, where we tend to go wide more.

Anyway - I am a happy Seasider who has just turned over to watch the rugby 😎

There is a player who I would buy a season ticket to watch alone - as GTF said on Radio Lancs, some of his skills were surreal!

totally agree, all 3 loanees were great .nice to see Virtue get 10 mins and I thought the adventurous goalie will eventually make us goals. There,s only one way for us to go ,but the Gills will be no pushover, Saw them at the start of the season and they are good

Ronan looked like the next Tony Green to me, the lad oozes confidence and has fantastic workrate and no little skill.

All the new lads have nothing to lose, aren’t affected by whatever underlying troubles that are affecting the rest of the squad and have come into the side wanting to play football - and at times that’s what we did today, we just need to build up a head of steam against Gillingham and the Gasheads who are on a worse run than us!

You could see the class on the ball with Ronan & Dewsbury-Hall they were the best players I have seen in a tangerine shirt since the Prem/Championship seasons... even a cheeky pull back by Ronan taking the pish towards the end, a delight to see

as someone mentioned above, sadly they will never be ours.

but they may inspire some of our journeymen on to better things, & that shot of confidence may help...

Thank you to Wolves & Leicester!!!

I thought that the MOTM might have gone to Gnanduillet today for his goals, but Ronan is a very worthy winner, incredible performance from a teenager

no-more-lies nails it for me...desperately need people to run the channels up front. That is what frustrates me most about Gnanduillet - he has so little movement unless it is a leg stretch away. Fonz made a key difference when he came on but would have been so much better if Madine had stayed on and Gnando had come off.

Ronan and Moore were both great, but KDH was MotM for me, a dynamic box to box performance. He was dropping back to provide an option when the back 4 had the ball, keeping the midfield moving and threatening around the Southend box.
Having those two Prem lads in the team transformed the midfield, everything was better - control of the ball, moving it quickly, anticipation, decision making, linking with other players. Which in turn boosted the confidence of the other players in the team's overall ability.
As they improve further within the team, we'll pose more and more of an attacking threat.

That's 17 goals so far for the season Gnanduillet you want to take off?

My son who’s a Wolves fan said big things were expected of Ronan but never seemed to take off so has been on loan for a while.
Nuno what’s his face will probably take notice now and recall him
