Watched closely over the last couple of years while these two buildings have progressed. I would have thought most on here have memories of the old yates’s , i do anyway in my opinion the new hotel/bar is a credit to the town everything in place ready to open when the restrictions are lifted.
I always thought the one on the old palace site would open first but come to a standstill over the last few months!!! has Owens pal ran out of funds

What an utter bell end the Scunny Chairman is - gave a little cheer when they lost on Saturday. Hopefully the idiot will go the same way as Oyston.

The fake Art Deco front certainly helps it fit in the square. Still sad to think of the building we lost and that beautiful old parrot that burned alive in the inferno. It knew every swear word going.

The numerals around the outside are lit, but one cannot see the hands, so no idea what the time is

As mentioned above, I see both on my daily cycling exercise, the Black one on the prom is AWFUL, what were the planners thinking, (Doh!!! planners never think) but I do like what they've done on the Talbot Square hotel, I do agree about the clock too..

Little known fact, Planners do NOT have any building design or construction training, yet they are the arbiters of what they consider "taste", so thats why we end up with the Black Hotel..

Yes they did and then they went ahead on painting the Arts hotel on North Prom black,just near the metropole.
