For me, we just need to get back to a standard formation where everyone knows their place.

Put Husband behind Bola, Howe behind Feeney, the two young lads in midfield and Gnando and Fonz up top.
 
I wonder if the two young lads in midfield is a bit like when they used to play Gerrard with Lampard and there was something missing. Both talented players but just feels it leaves a real soft centre in the side?
 
Does anyone think Heneghan actually played better with Edward's when Edward's was in the centre, grayson destroyed him playing him at left side. I'm not sure Maxwell is any better than Howard on what I've seen so far.
I'd go Howard,
Howe, Moore, Heneghan, Edward's, Bola
Feeney, Dewsbury,Virtue, Ronan/Delf??,
Gnanduillet.

I'd also consider Husband , not sure why grayson signed him then dropped him for bola (I hope bola improves as he went to middlesborough a season or 2 too soon

Doubt Edwards will be fit. He hasn't even been on the bench so would be difficult to just throw him straight into the team after months out.

Apart from his one mistake from Gillinghams first goal I thought he was pretty decent. Hasn't really put a foot wrong. Excellent distribution, gets the ball out fast to start attacks, seems to command the defence well and acts as a good sweeper keeper for our slow central defenders. Only thing I'd say is his height and coming for crosses could be an issue but has even dealt with that well enough so far. Edwards passing is some of the worst I've ever seen from a CB, he is way too slow and doesn't win enough in the air for his size. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the first team with Heneghan and Moore there. I'd go with

Maxwell
Howe Heneghan Moore Husband
Feeney Ronan Dewsbury-Hall Bola
Gnanduillet Fonz

Thought he was unlucky with Gills' first. You're just spreading yourself at that point as a keeper and hoping the forward hits you full so it stays out!

Yeah he could have done better should I say, rather than a mistake. God knows how that went in.

Think Husband was out injured, and only just got back into full training.. hopefully back to being used now!
 
I'd like to see Maxwell replaced by Howard.

Neither are good enough, but Maxwell seems like a bit of a clown.

Take away his admittedly impressive distribution, and he's crap.

If Edwards is fit the partnership wasn’t perfect but they know each other.
