That draw could have done us a favour

Yeah I get the op and its probably out of reach now autos, maybe have been unachievable anyway, but still annoying and also its becoming a bad habit we may end up taking into the playoffs if we get there.

Conceeeing late goals and sitting back isnt great.

Should have scored more today, a few time had the keeper beaten and hit the last defender and also Yates blocked a goal bound shot.

For all the chances we havent taken them enough over the course of the season. Weve improved but still more to come.

I think it may have done us a favour in terms of us learning from it prior to the more pressurised play off matches (assuming we stay in the top 6 which shouldn't be an issue if we continue in this form).

In our current form, especially against the better teams, I'm not concerned about who we play. But I am a little concerned about our apparent tiredness / fitness in the last 15 minutes of games. I don't think it's a coincidence the number of late goals we've conceded recently. I thought we looked tired after about 70/75 minutes today. Of course if we put our chances away we don't need to worry about it so much.

At least we are creating chances now. Nobody scores every time TBF. On another day who knows. Still an outside chance of Automatic. You never know 🤪

Charlton are the dark horses under Nigel Adkins. They took 3 points off Sunderland today. They've got Peterborough, Lincoln, Ipswich, Plymouth, Accrington and Hull.

Even if we are focused on the play offs how does ** up a 2-0 lead help?
Also true, but I think you can view today two ways and both are completely valid.

1: INIDIVIDUALLY OVER 90 MINUTES:
Frustrating, annoying and disappointing not seeing out a two nil lead no matter the circumstances. It's made even worse by the fact we should have put the game to bed with several good chances. We all should feel that way and I'm sure Critchley and the squad feel the exact same.

2: GRAND SCHEME:
Another point, we've moved into 4th and another game unbeaten. As much as I'd of loved us to go to the wire with the potential of getting automatic, a point today and wins for P'Boro/Hull have put it out the realms of realistic - now we just focus on securing the play-offs and winning 'em, no distractions, no disappointment of missing out on anything else.

Even though we all know we should have easily won today,it was still a good result.
Sunderland lost,Portsmouth lost,Ipswich drew as did Gillingham,Donny got thrashed.
The top two are now holding form and look difficult to catch.
We are in 4th and in the play off mix after our shit start to the season.
We would all of accepted that.
Auto’s only a small outside chance ,but a possibility.
If we finish in the playoffs then we have nothing to fear.
UTMP keep believing.

As l said last week we should forget about the autos and concentrate on the play offs. 3 points today would have been great given the world class performance for 70 mins but it wasn’t to be. The draw will have shaken the players from the position we were in but the play offs are in our hands now and it’s up to us to maintain our position as the games run down!

I don't think today did us a favour. A win would have been fantastic, we would have been in a position to put pressure on Peterborough and Sunderland, see if they had the bottle to keep going. It would also have given us 2 more points to help guarantee a play off place. Sometimes the truth is just the obvious thing. Any possible benefit comes from acknowledging it and working out how to see out games better. The leads we have thrown away this season have probably cost us automatic. Let's not let this cost us in the play offs.

Twists and turns still to come yet

Agree with O/P.
I wonder what NC said to the players after the game?
Probably 'You threw 2 points away there'.

I think that within a long unbeaten run, you can start to believe your own hype, and you need a scare now and then in order to keep a good run going and remove any complacency.
Lincoln are sixth, have some good players in my opinion and yesterday we were head and shoulders above them for most of the game. Yes we have some things to work on obviously, but I was encouraged by the performance against a play off rival. Put it this way, if we get in the play offs and play like that, we'll go up.

We have ended up with one point from two games against Lincoln that we should've won. Switched off in both games. Are we really that different now to how we were back then?

Well we didn't lose this time. I think some have a distorted view of that home game as we were nowhere near as dominant as we were yesterday. Even before Husband's mistake they were dictating things, and ended up having more than double our attempts on target over the whole game. We didn't deserve to win the home game even though we were winning, but we did yesterday and got a point. Still have some of the same problems but we're a much better team now than we were.

Can you imagine 4000 Pool Fans in Bloomers against either Portsmouth or Sunderland for a Play-Off Semi Final?
Let alone a trip to Wembley (although I hate the place) for a “Cup Final To Go Back In The Championship”
ESPECIALLY after how we played against Ipswich at home.
I remember it like yesterday travelling back to Poulton back from the Armfield Club with TAM!!........Never felt SO low since the Oystons still had ownership of “OUR” beloved “BLACKPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB”
So what did Simon Sadler Do??????
INVEST in a load more players who have since graced the Tangerine Shirt.
Won’t see me complaining that we only got an away draw yesterday😀......UTMP....😎🧡🚌#88

Yes, you're right.
