The crowd for Southend last season?

Big game/occasion fans, fairweather fans, other halfs who get brought along occasionally, people from the town who liked to see Oyston gone etc.

Plus all the exiles for the special occasion.

Funnily enough I didn't go.

We have been getting about 8k home fans with dire football, could have easily been 10k ish if we were entertaining and winning, plus then more for the bigger games.

When we played them in the LDV in Cardiff tried to get a chant going off 'you've only got one pier, got one pier, you've only got one pier'... was just me in the end slightly drunk singing it. Tried it again last season - same thing happened!

I'm going for a hatrick on saturday - I'm confident people will join in with me this time 😁

I know plenty that went because it was a 'special' occasion and they wanted to say, 'i was there'

I know plenty who went that day who aren't pool fans, for league 1 football though there's nothing wrong with the crowds were getting at the minute especially when you consider the performances and results, things need to improve on the pitch asap an i think they will.

We were averaging 14k for 4 seasons prior to the boycott.

I sang it at Roots Hall. I'll join in.

Remember listening to a Radio Lancashire documentary about it and somehow the reporter managed to speak to everyone who was not a Blackpool fan, had never been before but just wanted to 'be there'. Despite the fact they all said they enjoyed it, you could tell from the tone in their voice there wasn't a Cat in Hell's chance of them ever returning!
