The day Critchley loses the fans?

Hopefully the fans have a bit of resolve and a realisation that several new players are not yet ready.

Genuine question, if and it is an if, results continue in a similar vein then when will you start to ask questions, if ever ?
It'll be after a lot more than 6 league games.
One of which was a win, which seems to have been forgotten.

There seems to be a section of fans who are taking pleasure in defeats so they can use it as a "told you so".

Let's keep changing managers every 6 games.
I'm sure we'll stumble upon something eventually that works.

The new players, Ballard, Gretarrson, Dougall & Woodburn need some more time before they get thrown in, were you really expecting them to start today?

Makes you wonder about the quality of our support rather than the quality of our manager!!
Why wouldn't they start? They all speak English and are substantially better than the people in their positions? I don't get this time before they get thrown in stuff. Ballard should be starting.

What some fans seem incapable of grasping is that a manager was brought in because of his ability to coach young players and improve them, hence the transfer policy we have adopted to the tune of 17 players being brought in.

If SS was wanting instant results and expecting a complete team from the off, none of the policy the club are working to would have been implemented.

Unfortunately, because of the want it now mentality of some, nothing short of instant gratification is acceptable.

How can we know for sure that they are substantially better? Ballard has been away with N Ireland since he signed, I think it's a risk to lob him in. Ekpiteta is doing ok. I have absolutely no idea how good Gretarsson is. Husband is solid. Dougall hasn't been with a club since June or trained with us even once, no way can he go straight in today. I would have Woodburn on the bench at least. But maybe he needed a Covid test result or something?

It's not even about wanting it now. We've lost to Plymouth and Gillingham. Got slapped up by Ipswich and now we have put a defensive squad out against ** Crewe.

How long then, 10 games, 15, 20 or a full season

I think that at least one should start, then he can use the three as substitutes if necessary.

Northern Ireland international and Arsenal U21 Captain Ballard or Husband who isn't even a centre back? And has already been sent off this season. It's not really a discussion.

I think you are wrong. Ballard, one senior club game in his entire career, for Swindon. Not trained with us yet. Or Husband, who played well in his last game and has trained with us through pre-season, and knows the players around him.

Well I think in the long term Ballard will have a far superior career than Husband at centre back.

Let’s hope for a run of positive results then we can all forget this awful start
That is partly my point, I truly believe there is a section of fans who don't want that, purely so they can say "I told you so".

After 30 years of this club being run in to the ground, and every single achievement being against what the ruinous ownership wanted, you'd think the fans would be happy that we finally have everyone pulling in the same direction, and some patience to get things right would be afforded after SS has invested so much money.

Apparently not.

If they are not substantially better in Critchleys mind then what was the point in signing them?

Yeah an in terms of today I want you to be right. We have to win today.
We don't have to win today, but it would be extremely good to do so. I think NC has made the right defensive choices, I'm less sure about the rest, but we shall see.

It’s looking like a fight for survival season as results are going to leave us with a mountain to climb to do out else.

Neither Woodburn or Dougall were signed before the 12 noon deadline !
