I hope Evatt is his own man with Downes and the great relationship is standard media stuff. If he's not that active in sourcing players then, well better not say what I want to as the tin hat is in the wash.

We've got 2 places in our squad.
We have 4 loans, BPF (not included in the 22), Banks, Imray & Hansson.
I can only realistically see Hansson being sent back and I'm not even sure about that so whilst we can bring more than one loan in we can only have 5 in the squad at anyone time.
So we can bring in two over 21's in and as many u21s as we like on permanents without any outgoings but there will still be an overall budget to keep within.
As for possible departures Casey is probably the only saleable asset. I cant see many outgoings from the rest.
Its going to be a tough transfer window to manage.

Hannson I think will go back.

Casey will be sold if an offer comes in (SU) to fund new signings.

Evans will go, possibly to FT if both clubs are open to it, maybe even first day or two of the window.

I'm sure there will be a surprise or two leaving, Bloxham possibly, maybe one of Honeyman/Brown or even CJ. Morgan could provoke some interest as well.

In's will be a target striker, a left sided CB and a midfielder maybe two if the Casey mony allows.

Even without the Casey money SS will spend. I mean there was a lot spent in summer in the hope of a top season, so it would be silly to waste that money.

One thing for sure is Evatt will want players to be his system ready. Not like we have now.

Casey was linked with Sheff United 18 months ago, they’ll be aiming much higher than him. Casey doesn’t have the passing capabilities to step up to the championship.

I suspect you are right though regarding the wingers. Both Banks and Hansson will be costing us a decent wedge, so I'd imagine Evatt would prefer to use that on players who better fit his system.

I'd also add another number 9 to the list, given we only have Ennis.
 
I don’t know why there’s a clamour to sign a CF. Fletcher is having the season of his life, Ennis and Taylor will be back very soon and Bloxham is improving with every game. Midfield? Brown and Honeyman won’t be going anywhere. Can’t see Morgan leaving either. How much would it cost us to replace one of those in the Team? Bowler is a certain starter for the rest of the season. That leaves our defenders. All pretty decent and none of them with a significant amount of re-sale value. Evall might like a left wing back and I think if there is a spend it would be in that position.

Ravizzoli’s contract can’t just be cancelled, that’s not how it works. He would have to agree or it would have to be paid up. Either way it’ll cost money. How much, if you’ll pardon the pun, is the million dollar question.
 
I think it all depends on what players are out there and available, a left sided defender in Ben Ward (Accrington) or Baggott would be an asset. One or two of our players are getting older, we have to look to the future now. Husband has been a great pro for us but he needs to move on . Midfield is a concern for me Brown is a good pro but not always my first choice his distribution needs to be improved but in a 18 man squad would be usefull. Evans has seen his best days behind him. Dan Barlaser 29yrs on loan at Hibernian from Middlebrough would be a good introduction to our squad in midfield. Up front its my view that we still need a big Striker who can hold and release the ball better than what we have now. Jatta would be my first choice if the money is availabe he keeps scoring goals. The issue regarding a LWB will not go away who we bring in remains to be seen. Hanson and Banks is a quandary can they prove there worth.

Unfortunately none of our strikers are dominant in the air, which limits our options if we choose to go route one. If only Dave Bamber was younger, or Ray Charnley was still with us.
 
Left wingback direly needed, definitely need someone available to bring balance to the team. Another CB would be ideal, preferably one who is better on the right hand side, in case Casey is sold, and also so we have more depth there. A crop of young lads we can flip for profit and give us some more squad depth would also be great.
 
We have one loan place still to fill. I can see one of the other loans returning due to the system change. Outgoing, I expect maybe Evans
and possibly Ashworth. I expect to strengthen the midfield, the LWB, and the LCB with at least two players on loan.

Given that there are quite a few contracts that are up at the end of the season, I expect that will be the time most players will be moved on.

Taylor and Bloxham have been brought in to develop and sell on for decent money, so they will not be going anywhere till next season.
 
Danny Ormerod another 2 today for Fylde that’s 13 now in 18 games he's scored in.

Sounds like we let him go too early before he could find his scoring boots still only 18.
 
If Evo is to stay with a back 3, I think we'll need more pace in the back line, especially when the wing backs are in an advanced position (Reading game) and Ihiekwe's lack of pace was repeatedly exposed.

I also think Casey might be on his way to Sheffield United, I'd expect funds from a potential Casey sale to more than cover the cost?

And a midfield enforcer please. I can't recall the last time we bossed a midfield for 90 minutes

I quite liked it when we were essentially playing with one out and out centre back. Horsfall in the middle with Ashworth and Lyons either side. We looked much better for it.
