They know what we’re about with Ballard last season. They also will know what Critch did with Simms. If TJJ fails, they know it won’t be from our end. This seems harsh but is spot on. His career has got a fork in the road approaching in January. Him not getting called up to England u-21s is a a blessing in disguise for him. He's got a fortnight to knuckle down in training and in front of Critch to prove he's got the heart and fight for the man's game.
I think he was on one of the recent videos filmed at SG and shown on TTV.do you think TJJ might have gone back to Arsenal already? not making the bench and little prospect of game time he might as well go back to training at Arsenal?
They are all short term deals. It was their transfer strategy of previous years which has shafted them hence points deduction incoming. Paying wages of £35k a week for Baldock and £40k a week for Aluko is just outrageous. They have since had massive clear out so would suggest they are on the straight and narrow and sympathy from EFL because their injury list is outrageous. If that happens, then Reading would have:
Danny Drinkwater (31) (although he's only on loan, no idea if they're contributing to wages etc)
Scott Dann (34)
Junior Hoilett (31)
Andy Carroll (32)
All have been good players with plenty of Prem experience, but they're getting towards the end of their careers and it must be costing Reading a fortune just to be in mid table. On an average crowd only 700 more than ours. You've got to question if that transfer strategy is sustainable for a club of their size.
Found to be in breach of FFP and the only debate is on the size of the punishment, yet can still sign players on that kind of wage. EFL.. Not fit for purpose. If that happens, then Reading would have:

Junior Hoilett (31)
Andy Carroll (32)

Agree about Sterling, Newbury. It would be great to bring Simms back in any form but would be a real statement of intent if it was on a permanent deal. I'd be gutted to see Stirling go back, he is an absolute unit and a great player, hopefully Critchley can find a way of keeping both happy.
Instead of being allowed to sign further players it is about time they got their points deduction for breaching FFPAndy Carroll confirmed.
So who’s the first 4?The latest speculation from The Gazette.
Eight players linked with Blackpool ahead of the January transfer window
The January transfer window opens in just 24 days' time.www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk

With ex-Liverpool man Mike Marsh linking up with Ryan Lowe at Nob End I wonder if we'll be competing for the same players who are available on loan in January?Critch on the VIP list god bless his cotton socks
Hopefully Sir Critch’s more recent affiliation with LFC Klopp and the players will help. With ex-Liverpool man Mike Marsh linking up with Ryan Lowe at Nob End I wonder if we'll be competing for the same players who are available on loan in January?
Always rated him & would love him back when fit, a lot of people seem to want him sent out on loan when he’s ready to play again but he’s definitely good enough to play for us in this leagueMatty

Simms is definitely on the wanted list and if Santa can get him down the chimney he will be coming home. Not convinced Simms will come, Wintle on a permanent deal and another goal scorer wether that be a striker or a number 10
IfReading FC are about to sign Andy Carroll today. Approved because of the injury crisis at that club. That would be some signing at this level if stays fit.
I think that's pretty obvious and I will be surprised if he isn't the first signing on day one of the window. I agree we should try and sign Wintle, maybe loan to the end of the season with a deal in the summer?Simms is definitely on the wanted list and if Santa can get him down the chimney he will be coming home.

Some on here are absolutely bursting to loan out half our first team squad.Always rated him & would love him back when fit, a lot of people seem to want him sent out on loan when he’s ready to play again but he’s definitely good enough to play for us in this league
Loan out Stewart to St John's AmbulanceSome on here are absolutely bursting to loan out half our first team squad.
joking aside though a great player when fit & im confident he’ll have a fantastic 20 minutes against Huddersfield before getting injuredLoan out Stewart to St John's Ambulance
He may not want to come on our current form!Simms is definitely on the wanted list and if Santa can get him down the chimney he will be coming home.

Yeah, the obstacle being he isn't very good and not worth £50k.... £500k!!! You're having a giraffe!!Bit of a garbled article on Dale.
Blackpool interested in Crewe winger Dale – One obstacle to deal still stands » The72 - Football League News
Blackpool are on a bit of a horror run at the moment in the Sky Bet Championship. That run has seen them lose their last three games. The Tangerines find themselves nestled in an uncomfortable 17th place in the Championship table. Their 27 points place them just eight points away from the drop...the72.co.uk
We haven't tried Apter yet, he can't be any less successful. The squad needs 2 more strikers who can score goals
He should know the first half-season means nothing with 'pool. He may not want to come on our current form!
The latest speculation on Rob. Whilst this would be an excellent move for him, assuming they will play him, I'd still like to see him get a start against Hartlepool before letting him go.We haven't tried Apter yet, he can't be any less successful.
If Simms becomes available there will be big competition from T’Rovers! He was there as a youngster, and if they sell Bremerton-Diaz for big money would be interested in signing him!Simms is definitely on the wanted list and if Santa can get him down the chimney he will be coming home.

Surely Moore needs to move on as NC doesn’t rate him. Not gonna get a starting berth anytime soon. Only gonna make the bench as Maxi is out.Marvin has to be priority. I don't like the sound of Wardie's injury, I hope he fully recovers and gets an extension. Moore is worth an extension as is Demi and Bowler. I would be surprised if we let Gretarsson go, but he can't get near the team for some reason/ Keogh will be 36 next year, can't see him staying, maybe a coaching role? Sarkic & Howe will be gone, not sure about Nuttall but can't see him staying. Keshi has to be another priority and I thought Gary Goals had another year left? I would certainly give him another year.
We have to have 3 keepers and to have one as good as Moore surely it would be foolish to let him go? If the lad wanted to move and got an offer of a club who will play him as their first choice then that's different and good luck to the lad.Surely Moore needs to move on as NC doesn’t rate him. I agree re 3 keepers, I’m just surprised he’s not wanted to move on.We have to have 3 keepers and to have one as good as Moore surely it would be foolish to let him go? I almost wish another club wanted him, he's too good to be third choice.I agree re 3 keepers, I’m just surprised he’s not wanted to move on.
Agree with most of that but Madine needs to prove he can stay fit and score/assist a lot more to be worthy of another contract.Marvin has to be priority.
