The last Blackpool game you attended!!

I can't believe that the Accrington game on Boxing Day was the last game I attended! Nearly 6 weeks without football. Have I missed it? I always miss seeing friends who I only see when I got to games and there is nothing like the live experience, however it's funny how you find other things to do. Last weekend lots of good Prem football/Rugby League/Rugby Union/Superbowl - I feel as if I had my fair share of sport and so didn't feel I went without, however it is a reminder that there are alternatives available.

So come on Simon - give us something to smile about on Saturday and make us want to make the same trip on Tuesday as I fear if we have a bad result on Saturday, with all the alternative available and with missing live games often sadly easier than attending, it could be like a Desert Town on Tuesday without that performance.

Fleetwood.

OK, so it's a 500+ mile round trip for me but considering I used to do EVERY Saturday home game, that says something! The current manager and team give me very little reason to attend and even watching the games on a stream is quite hard to watch the whole way through.

Will be attending against Southend. It will be interesting I reckon.

Never understood why someone would miss a game if hey could go to it, if you support Blackpool and can go to the game go! There shouldn’t be any exscuse why you shouldn’t.

Like Miko its a 500 mile round trip for me. Fleetwood was my last game (the last game we Won). The games over xmas were just too expensive to do. I have missed it but like others have said you find other things to do on a Saturday. Looking forward to getting back in Bloomers tho and hoping for a win, as im Dragging the Mrs along for her first game (she cant wait for the 6am start).

Extremist - if you can go to a game, you would? I dont understand what you mean? There's plenty of reasons why you wouldnt go the game; holiday, illness, death in the family, finance, etc, etc, not excuses just reasons why you wouldnt go?

People are using the excuse that it’s not good football to watch or that we’re losing all the time, hear shouldn’t be reasons

fair enough, it isn't good to watch, its awful but as a fan, you should still go when you can...
Cannot agree with that at all. Gates are usually a direct reflection of the standard of performance on offer just as viewers for a TV programme, attendances at a concert, diners in a restaurant etc etc.

If performances are poor I don't blame folk for not attending at all. Likewise, those who are attending, I have no problem with them voicing their approval or disapproval at games. One thing for certain though, I won't be 'happy clapping' on Saturday if the performance is similar to the recent standard.

How can you call yourself a Blackpool fan if when they’re playing bad you abandon them, it’s pathetic!

The cup replay against Reading.

It was chite and unlikely to get me out of the pub on a Saturday afternoon to go to Bloomers nevermind any exotic trips.

Oxford and Wycombe, thought there was a vast improvement from Tuesday night.

nah I think as a fan you should go if you can but hey Miko, I’m no happy clapper either and reserve the right to voice my disapproval as and when appropriate but you know some count that as being fickle which is utter nonsense in my book.

Leeds but I'm toying with the idea of going to the 'Pool/Milton Keynes game. There's always a hole to fill somewhere

Lincoln, but only because I've been on holiday since. Looking forward to getting back to Bloomers for the Gillingham match.

Accrington on Boxing Day. Annoyed about the Bolton and Tranmere games we've missed because night games are near on impossible and so it'll have to be iFollow and so I'll probably be sat outside Bloomfield Road at 9am on Saturday I'll be so eager to get in!!

Maidstone.
Might need a list of players with photo, name and number so I’ve some idea of who is who.

Didn't see this phenomenon happening in the Premier League. Seem to remember 1 win in about 15 at one point. Nobody seemed to mind the 500 mile round trips then, everyone seemed to find the required dollar also. Too many excuses and not enough support, football teams are a bit like dogs, not just for Christmas. We won't get any better with loads of people sitting on couches watching on I follow. Bring the love back to Bloomfield Road and back the boys.

You've missed the point entirely. It's often down to PERFORMANCES not results. I could (and have) stood on the terraces defeat after defeat back in the 80s. The Prem days....nobody could question the commitment and they deserved full houses win or lose. Don't remember the team ever being booed off at half or full time. PERFORMANCE...ATTITUDE...TACTICS...get those right and the results will come.

Yes, you keep saying. Maybe ask for your comment to be made as a banner headline. However, for someone who said they didn't have a problem with the Oystons, I don't think many would be taking much notice of you.

It doesn’t matter if they take notice of me, I know that I’m right. I am a true fan and the so called “fans” that “boycotted” are not

"It doesn’t matter if they take notice of me, I know that I’m right."

Those sort of comments come from those who are usually wrong ,stubborn and intransigent with whom with such closed minds, it`s pointless to argue .

Seem to remember plenty of dodgy tactics by Hollowhead, losing or drawing matches from winning positions. But, I almost forgot, that was the best trip. Pretty sure some of the posters on here let Hollowhead know their feelings.

Barnsley away 15 September 2012 1-1 , fy4 coach ,met blood and had a few beers with him in what must have been the smallest workingmens club in the world.
