We will not know about half the people they are considering, it’s good fun to speculate and discuss but don’t get down because it hasn’t happened straight away. Good things come to those that wait, plenty of managers/potential managers would love the Blackpool job, and we don’t need to rush it.

He's one of our heroes. Show some respect.
Just because someone was part of the Premier League team, doesnt mean he should be anywhere near a shortlist of potential managers.
He has managerial experience in the League of Wales, and I know someone who has actually played under him.

So no, I don't want him here as a manager.

Because I understand that there is more to successful management than someone simply being an ex player.

I understand why GTF has put his name forward what has he to lose but deep down even he must know it is not going to happen, maybe as an assistant but as the main manger not without some more experience.

Agreed but there are ways of saying it. I would say that having GTF with us in a supporting role would be brill' but we need a manager with experience/quality performances out of his team. It doesn't do anybody any good to be so contemptuously dismissive.

But you're basing it on nothing more than he once played here, absolutely nothing else.

If you think the way to build a successful football club is to hand over positions to old mates and ex employees, you should be all for Mansford sorting out Heckingbottom getting the managers job?

I'd prefer for someone to be brought in based on a successful interview, driven by actual managerial experience and his strategy for the way he wants to club to progress on the field.

Let's keep GTF, Brett and the rest up in the VIP Lounge smiling and having their pictures taken with the prawn sandwich brigade.

Grayson had loads of experience......that didn't end well. Look at Joey down at Fleetwood. No experience but doing a pretty good job. Mane you shouldn't be setting your expectations too high.

As I said (but thread seems to have disappeared Warnock on 18 month contract ,with Dunn as assistant ,there will be lots of managers wanting a job come next August (then get Evo in ) and tell the ones who turned us down, who may come with their begging bowl to shove it 😜.

My point was, as you repeatedly illustrate, that you seem to want to be petulently dismissive of people who have in the past done great work for us and who continue to represent the club off the field. That is not good enough. I never mentioned having GTF or Brett as manager. I just think they deserve more respect than you appear to be prepared to give.
