Thanks for all your feedback about both our original plans to close the board and then to introduce a system where all posts would have to be approved. We've appreciated all your opinions on this and we have decided on the following action.
The O/P board will remain as it is however we have asked two non-BFC fans to help moderate and we really want to emphasise the importance of reporting posts that fall foul of the new OFCOM rules (posted below). We'll be introducing a 3 warnings system whereby if you get 3 warnings you will be removed from the board which we think is a fair process to keep the board going. Hope this satisfies everyone.
The Online Safety Act lists over 130 ‘priority offences’, and tech firms must assess and mitigate the risk of these occurring on their platforms. The priority offences can be split into 17 categories:
