The pitch

What’s going on with it lately? Judging by Scrafton’s Twitter we could potentially have yet ANOTHER postponed home game this evening. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t remember us having a single home game called off last season? What’s changed?

Looking bleak according to other messages.still raining heavily and the ball not moving well in the pitch

Some of you clearly haven't noticed that it's been the wettest February on record and January was the same before that. The water table is at maximum, the ground just can't take it. Nothing to do with our pitch or the groundsman or anything else, just the shittest of winters I can remember. It's frustrating but it can't be helped.

But 90% of other fixtures are being played?

Were going to run out of Tuesdays at this rate.

Ours hasn't been postponed yet has it? There's nothing sinister about it, it's just the weather and where it rains. It has been a beautiful sunny day all day here so if the game was here it would be on.

Ref on pitch, ball not rolling in certain area's and no member of ground staff present apparently.

When the last game was cancelled the water on our lawn was significant at the bottom & stretching for about 7 metres. Today there’s hardly anything so using that as a gauge fingers crossed 🤞

In the lawn-o-meter we trust.

Dont get it! It's been raining yes but not torrential for days! Yesterday was glorious - blue skies. Whys the pitch not draining as it should?

Not living in Blackpool atm but I’m led to believe it hasn’t really been raining much recently until this afternoon? Makes it more strange if true.

I don’t want to come across as though I’m pointing fingers at anyone in particular, i think it’s just the frustration more than anything. I look forward to these midweek games all day, now more than ever, so it’s a real kick in the teeth when they’re postponed an hour before kick off 👍

There are live pictures on ifollow now.
The pitch looks OK but it doesn't show specific wet areas.

It’s been raining heavy since about 1pm

The weather

If Morecambe’s game is on and ours isn’t, you do have to start asking questions.
The Oystons are long gone and the staff at the club want for nothing so what’s the reason for another postponement ???

If it's called off would both clubs agree to settle the points over a game of Cuppies on Sooty's back garden?
