The real disappointment is ……

Critchely will be here next season and I will be forced to watch another season of dross football , as I’ll renew my season ticket as I have for the last 60 years , knowing I will be disappointed in the lack of entertainment, continually served up by Critchley.
He has no idea and he has failed in meeting supporters expectations throughout the season and just isn’t good enough.
He ‘s probably a really nice guy but he’s certainly no man motivator , or a manager and as we’ve seen all season, his tactics are repetitive, boring , ineffective and lack entertainment .
Please don’t continue to back Critchley Mr Sadler , or you too will quickly lose the backing supporters . Bring someone in who can give us entertaining football next year because this is absolute dross we are being asked to watch , so get rid of him so we are not left disappointed once again next year.

As a supporter who has seen all types of football, in all divisions, under dozens of managers at BFC, SS would be wise to listen to you & those like you, and pay attention to your observations.
I totally agree with your comments, which you've written the day after the Reading debacle, when you've had time to reflect.

Drove 500m + yesterday to watch that along with many others
Woke up this morning not feeling fine but still with Blackpool FC on my mind
Unfortunately words that spring to mind are
Stubborn
Inflexible
Insipid
Clueless
Uninspiring
Frustrating
Six words that sum up our season
More of that next year and we’ll be bottom hal
But if Coulson and Joseph had scored those relatively easy chances you might have gone home happy... that's football..
Next season needs a reset and I suspect at least 10 new players coming in.. plus Rob Apter coming back who will be a star player in league 1..

Every season has its whatif moments. The reality is we create too few good chances as our players don’t take risks in the final third. Good flare players like Lavery, Joseph and Kouassi have become timid shadows of the players they should be. The discipline of the team performance has become all too dominant and the back 3 has not worked at all well and is very predictable. It was obvious after the Port Vale and Orient games at home the direction of the season as in both it was very obvious we were completely outwitted by the opposition management and we were unable to respond. From what I hear our manager is creating a narrative around our performances that it’s all coming together but we look dangerously like the Megson era.

I think @20togo had the right word to describe coach Critchley’s season on another thread…”inept”

It won’t be any different next year. And anyone who thinks he is actually going to play Apter is clueless. He’s far too clever a coach to do that…he will be loaned out again as he will always be just not quite ready for the environment

With our away form and the manager/ coach learning nothing from defeat after defeat away from home, i'm amazed anyone got that excited about yesterday. Said all week we needed to win and that would be the problem.

On the bus to the ground a couple of reading fans asked how we'd do, I told them this was the sort of game we've been losing all season and I didn't expect it to change. Sad but true.

Flair players, please. More flair on my old drain pipes.

Forced to watch more football dross?

Kidnapped by the club and made to go?

Whatever happened to self respect?

Do you visit stores that sell bad goods?

Masochistic fanatics, set on Critchley's further dire tactics, resemble druggies.

The council should launch a centre to ween mugs off this abusive relationship.

That game went exactly as most of our other away games this season, just don't know why or how we haven't been able to turn it around. Surely a change of formation after we lost the two away games around Christmas would have been the sensible thing to at least try

- start the first 30 mins well even nicking a goal
- completely capitulate for the remaining 60 mins
- poor finishing
- terrible final ball in the final third
- poor marking
- poor substitutes and too late
- lack of in-game tactical changes

You can see the opposition working us out as the game goes on and we just struggle to adapt.

Like Lee Charles get on the Board and start kicking arses

We as fans are far too remote from the real issues let alone have a say in it

Many make good points but unless you work at the Club we haven’t a clue what’s what

You've really gone off the boil of late TAM. And I clocked that yours was a post this morning. You must have been well wee'd off yesterday. I switched the match off at 3-1.

Don't forget wide open

Don't forget wide open defending for their 2nd and 3rd. Once they'd scored their third I switched the telly off. I couldn't believe how pathetic the defending was.

To be fair the podcast has been quite vocal for a while about Critchley and though we try to keep it measured sometimes it’s difficult
Yesterday most of us were there to witness the debacle

A simpler assessment for me is . . . The biggest disappointment for me is that at times this season the best teams in the league were fearful of playing us because we looked so good at times. Conversely against Cheltenham, Burton, Port Vale, Northampton etc we looked pitiful.

The common denominator in all of the pitiful displays was Critchley's stupidly in sticking with the same tactics and formations that were obviously failing so regularly against tripe opposition. An experienced no.2 to replace dumb and dumber is a must. A new approach from Critchley where he realises stubbornness, nepotism and habitual processes, like substitutions on 70 minutes, are easily countered by any opposition manager and players because predictability is easy to prepare for.
