The Silver Screen

Anybody on here ever appeared on the silver screen ?

As some of you may know one of my son's is an amateur film maker and one of his films will be shown at the Manchester International Film Festival. There is a cameo appearance by a very talented amateur actor in the film and I am sure Hollywood will be beckoning for them shortly. 😂

I was in the film Yanks starring Richard Gere among others, as an extra marching through the streets of Haworth.

Student income.

Someone off here must have been in Valentino filmed at the Illawalla?

Re the Valentino film - no.

But I know a few people who did.

Well two, now I come to think about it a bit harder.

I love the randomness of this site.

Great for your son @bollieboy and for your starring role.

Been on telly plenty of times; loads of international news channels interviews at various points over the last few years - but I've never been on the big screen.

It might change as the production village is going to put Hartlepool as the centre of film production in the north of England. Hopefully I get stopped in the street and asked to bring a certain air of authority to the movies being made.

Wouldn't call it a starring role. Five seconds at most but I get a credit !

The lead actor from his previous film, which was also shown at MINF, has gone on to have had some success on TV.

Mrs CC was an extra in Valentino.
Wasn't Anton Rosenfield also an extra?

I have been 'pedestrian walking past' in Grange Hill!!!

No but my cousin has had a career in Hollywood and her hubby has an Oscar as a producer.

Her brother has been to a Pool game too when he was over from California. Loved the soccer 😂

Had a brief cameo on Mersey Pirate looking in Beaverbrooks window in town as an extra.
Climbed into the posh side at Aintree for the National & one of those knobs you occasionally see giving it the thumbs up behind Des Lynam doing his bit to camera.
