The SNP and the great Covid cover up

According to Andrew Neil on X; "Over 100 senior figures at the heart of Scottish Government are thought to have deleted thousands of WhatsApp messages during the Covid pandemic. UK Covid Inquiry has received no messages from SNP ministers or officials, despite requests."

Nicola Sturgeon, in August 2021 to a question by Ciaran Jenkins of Channel 4 news asked her

"Can you guarantee to the bereaved families that you will disclose emails, WhatsApps, private emails if you’ve been using them. Whatever. That nothing will be off limits in this inquiry?"

Her answer

"If you understand statutory public inquiries you would know that even if I wasn’t prepared to give that assurance, which for the avoidance of doubt I am, then I wouldn’t have the ability. This will be a judge-led statutory inquiry."

She was feted as the best politician of her generation and she was nothing of the sort.

If you consider Boris Johnson has been the most transparent senior politician, offering to share everything he had with the enquiry actually ignoring the Cabinet Office's desire not to hand them over - it kind of shows the just how bad the SNP are acting.

She’s been a truly dreadful politician.

I wonder whether those messages would have shown the political calculations surrounding decisions which were supposed to be about keeping people safe; the number of times she was trying to get the tail to wag the dog under the guise of saving lives.

She's as bad as the rest of them. Wasn't the current fella the Health Minister at the time too?

She’s extremely untrustworthy hiding behind the guise of being extremely trustworthy.

Nothing would surprise me.

Reading some of the extracts from the enquiry, it looks to me like the Civil Servants are trying to shift the blame for their failings onto him.

Simon Case and Vallance for example, complaining about him changing direction frequently, when the situation was changing on a daily basis is just nuts.

No he didn't, he "couldn't access his phone"

And I have no time either for the SNP doing this, or Sunak claiming he can't access his. And as for Hancock saying he will only testify if he's given immunity, drag him there in chains.

Yep. A case of Lost being economical with the truth and also blaming the civil servants again.

I see Dominic is up tomorrow. No doubt keen to “spill the beans”. Will probably be a bad day for Tufty Street.

Are you actually insane?
Johnson has to have the truth dragged out of him, he is a habitual liar who wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the arse. He has lied to the queen, to parliament and to the public on multiple occasions. I cannot believe you are holding him up as a paragon of honesty. It;s beyond ridiculous.

In the case that you are talking about, yes he initially offered to be transparent but then we had a lot of 'the dog ate my homework' type excuses. I've forgotten the password, I've lost the phone, I am not allowed to turn it i

You are being manipulated, this is actually the dead cat strategy from Brillo pad.

This week will be a bad week for Johnson's groupies, the messages about to be released are reportedly very damning and misogynistic. Johnson will be exposed as the vacuous charlatan that he is, unfit to be PM, unfit for public office.

Give me Johnson over Corbyn any day

If Corbyn was PM he would probably have had his friends from Hamas conducting their murdering operations from Islington
