The Summer Transfer Thread - Part 2.

I don't see how having 2 RB's is a gamble, and I don't think Lyons should be one of them.

In terms of spots available, excluding Sassi etc, I think we've got 15 outfield players signed, so striker, winger, 2 RB, midfielder, and that still leaves 2 spots vacant.

Keepers don't count towards L1 squad size.
But do towards wage bill. Just depends what they want to do, they might see that money going into another slightly better player, than they'd otherwise afford, in another position.

Bruce likes a smaller squad of better quality.

Not 4 more, so i said do we need one more or 2.

Depends whether you count Bloxham.

Personally firepower is everything, almost.

Bruce said so himself. Only as good as your attackers. Or something like that.
'Personally firepower is everything, almost.' - you certainly know how to fracture the English language.

Almost everyhting maybe...

If you are capable of scoring more than the opposition you'll be up there.

Bruce has said similar. Only as good as your front players.

Seen a lot of our fans in meltdown about his “loyalty!”

Loan player ffs. Owes us nothing
Can't help but feel a little stung by it but like you say he owes us nothing, just have to be thankful we as a club are entrusted with these types of players now and play a part albeit small in their footballing journeys

County mate is quite worried as they have lost quite a few of their key players and he thinks momentum from promotion season has been exhausted.
My best mate is a county fan and is too. But they have an excellent manager and owner and still have a core of good players and money to spend. They will be fine.

Wonder if we could move for Paddy Lane from Pompey? Left midfielder with very solid stats in league 1 but struggled in the championship and tipped for an exit.

Knows the area well having come through at Fleetwood.

The same Massive mate who told me about Ihiekwe before we signed him tells me they have just released Callum Paterson . He's a genuine utility player , comfortable down the right or up front , decent pace , passing and heading and scored 6 last season.
Could be a decent option given SB wants a smaller squad. Every successful Pool team since 1970 has had a Scot , think Green /Hutch, Britton/Conroy, Parker , Charlie, Dobbs etc
Oh and Huddersfield are favourites to sign him , so in with a shout!

I would rather have Malik Wilks

I agree he's a talented lad, but has a reputation for dressing room fallouts.
As right back I would still like Aaron McGowan, purely from the Cobblers fans comments .
As a pacy winger option I suspect Ethan Wiliams will still be on the radar, not ITK just an opinion.

I'd hope we pivot back to more talent development opportunities now to be honest. Not saying there isn't room for a higher quality, experienced player - but we do now have experience (and leadership) everywhere across the pitch.

A signing would be nice today. Been a quiet week with them in Spain.

Wonder if we’ve had a look at Aaron Connolly. Out of contract striker who’d likely do well in League One

Brucey has done his Spain trip summary interview. He says we are still looking to bring more players in and fans should be excited by the players we are looking at.
Edit.
The actual quote:
"Certainly if I was a Blackpool fan, the players we're looking to bring in will have them on the edge of their seat".
