The more and more I hear Steve Bruce speak the more I think I fancy him 😲
 
Whilst it's great hearing the type of player we're going for now will have people on here edge of their seats, exciting and ambitious, until they're in and we know for sure... with Blackpool we know not to get too overexcited before there's anything official.

But saying that...

I wonder if it'll be Bruceys connections with some real high quality loans, as well as maybe the odd permanent, that we couldn't imagine coming before.

Let's remember, this is possibly Bruceys last stint with a club. He wants to succeed and get promoted, probably more than that, and he knows there's a chance, I wonder if that's a selling point, come be part of this last journey with this legend of the game, it's going to be something special and he wouldn't be here if he was just going to fizzle out, he wants success. Might it tempt some on loan who wouldn't otherwise drop down. Maybe it already had with a couple of the signings in a way. Saying that, money is always key.
 
Just had a read of the orient board. Hmmmmm sounds like a ten a penny Plodder. Workhorse, grafters, yes teams need a couple but I wouldn’t be spaffing half a million quid on one. They say he’s OK but indicate they should accept the bid asap before we change our mind. I’d much rather put our money into game changers not grafters.

Not having a grafter in mf cost us last year, if he plugs that gap and sures up our MF then hes worth every penny.

You do realise how weak our midfield was last year? Gone ran through, and lost games because of that
 
If Jordan Brown is as good as their fans seem to say, I'm shocked they are all saying £400k is great business for them, accept it before we change our mind.

I get that he only has a year left on his contract but he's a good age and that kind of money doesn't go massively far these days.

They've just signed El Mizouni who plays the same position for a club record fee, he probably wont start and if they can get £400k for him then its a great deal for them. At the same time, if he plugs the gap in our MF then its a great deal for us as well. I gaurentee that they would be singing a different tune if they didn't have his replacement already signed

Also sounds like they are gutted he's going
 
Evans and Morgan need to start definitely, include this guy and who do we drop if we play 4 4 2 as Brucey supposedly always plays. Bloxham Apter and Ennis should all start so where does he fit in?

Evans and Morgan are not good enough in the middle of the park. Far too slow and weak.

Evans wasn't great second half of the season. He was poor in defence and our mf got played through like it wasn't there way too many times to count. He looked better when he had someone behind him and he could be the creative player in the middle. I think it will be between Evans and Morgan who plays.
