The Track and Trace App

Has anyone heard any more about the app. being tested on the Isle of Wight developed by Dominic Cumming's brother?
I had read in a couple of places that it was being scrapped in favour of something decentralised using Google / Apple technology (like a few countries in Europe)
Is this correct?
Does anyone have any experience of using the app?

Think the problem is they’re using it to track who has it. A lot of elderly folk are more at risk and tend to get it, most of these won’t have smart phones so it seems a bit daft.

If it goes nationwide I’ll still do my bit and download it. I don’t by all this spying on you bollocks. What they gonna get from me? Oh he’s gone from his couch to the back yard!
