The Unholy Alliance

Recent events have got me thinking of the strange alliance between the left and Islam

And it is strange given that the religion of Islam in general is homophobic and a lot of the left support gay rights and all this transgender stuff

There are several Islamic countries where gay marriage is still illegal

Islam does appear to be taking over the left somewhat and I do wonder if the failure of the councils and government in regards to the Pakistani grooming scandal was actually a massive cover up to try and keep the large Muslim vote In some of these towns and cities

It's also a bit worrying that the left don't seem to think illegal immigration is a problem either or the massive strain on the NHS and benefits system that this immigration epidemic causes whilst at the same time calling for more NHS spending

Strange times indeed

I think we saw recently how an Islamic country takes to a left wing protest, when the Free Palestine marchers got beaten and cuffed at the Egyptian border.

Labour has certainly benefited from the Islamic vote particularly in those northern towns like Bradford, Blackburn, Rochdale etc where there are high levels of unemployment and benefit dependency.

However there seems a new growing unholy alliance where working class people have voted Conservative and now moving to Reform. These right of centre parties have always stripped public services and provided beneficial tax environments for those with earnings over 6 figures and higher with the public budget savings.

I certainly benefited from low corporation tax and low dividend tax in the past decade. I just never understood why anyone on an average paye wage or lower would want me to benefit over them having better services from the council?

I think you're being naughty again and trying to conflate imaginary things. The vast majority of people on the left do not support illegal immigration. Because it's illegal. Illegal immigration is a small proportion of immigration. 44,000 in the year ending March 2025. The country with the most was Afghanistan, the country we abandoned to the Taliban.

Islam taking over the left? How exactly?

I just googled National Front 1980s images

They wanted deportations and halal meat banned by the look of it?

Before my time, but let me guess, some of what was said was painted a certain way by an establishment looking to shut it down, like they covered up the rape gangs and labeled people speaking out, victims etc. A tired old trick.

I'm sure there was some dodgy stuff but take the whole Robinson stuff, where if you look back a lot of what he said was right, people might not like his style or certain language, bit he wasn't the monster the media had to portray in order to get him blacklisted off TV etc. Not many trust the establishment anymore.

Infact there's videos on X of people of different colours who were sure hes was a racist white supremacist saying they've gone through his content and being shocked that the narrative wasn't as it seemed, so now attend his peaceful marches.

When we play away at Bradford get yourself into the town centre early and enjoy the Islamic stalls.

I don’t understand anyone promoting Islam.

Starmer is done, he might as you say hang on but he’s no patriot.

I was a kid too. I googled the NF as soon as Phil posted it.

Interesting particularly that poster with "Make Britain great again" and the list - it's almost everything that I am reading today and that was 40 years ago

I wouldn't promote any religion. Not one of them.
Well at a push Buddism as it seems in the main pretty harmless?

Wherever you see cruelty, religion is normally nearby.

It wasn't before mine, I remember it clearly, as will a great number of similar aged posters on here.

People attacked and beaten because of their skin colour, no go areas where black and Asian people could not walk, a very strong anti racist movement who played them at their own game. The Skinhead movement, which started as an inclusive group allied to Mods and Rude Boys, turned increasingly racist, supported by bands like the later edition of Screwdriver. Swastikas and Union Flags together, sieg heiling their way down the road.

Violence on the streets, immigrant communities turning more like Ghettoes for self protection.

Establishment shut down? do a bit of research about reality.

I'm reacting to the posters and what's said there.

And yes the establishment do shut things down as I've explained, we know this now, it's no longer a conspiracy, young people today have the gift and curse of social media, you can see why they wanted to censor and shut it down.

I know you’re just trying to nudge your Overton window a bit further to the right, but if you’re trying to argue that the Nazi supporting, Swastika carrying, seig heiling National Front were really just misunderstood and misrepresented progressives ahead of their time, then I’ll think you may find that the window hasn’t quite followed you there yet.

But crack on. This is all quite revealing in its way.

Again, I was on about what's on the pics, I wasn't born when they were around. So thats all it's revealed you clown.

If it wasn’t for immigrants the NHS would be on its knees

Even Phil said the NF were far right.
The NF was a racist, neo Nazi, anti semitic party. As you say, even 20mph Phil agrees.

JJTool acknowledges their policies were similar to Reform/Restore/Advance policies now. He said “”the list - it’s almost everything I’m reading today and that’s 40 years ago”.

I think that was a revealing comment and a gaffe by JJ. It’s the sort of honesty by a Reform supporter that sends Farage apoplectic.

JJ also keeps mentioning the Overton window, which is all about the normalisation of ideas that were once beyond the pale, making the unthinkable acceptable. When people say the far right doesn’t exist in the U.K. today, what they actually mean is that far right policies which were once unacceptable are becoming more mainstream, mainly because of the efforts of people like Farage, Lowe, Habib, Robinson etc. I don’t agree that far right policies cease to be far right policies, simply because more people find them appealing.

In future years it'll be total role reversal.
My wife's family live in Chadderton and said parts of Oldham now non muslims are best to avoid.

"I wasn't born.." ever heard of books or Google? You don't live in splendid isolation. Look things up if you proffess not to know about them.
I've never felt the need to randomly research something that basically never came up.

The pics shown don't show any of what people mentioned, therefore i reactee to that, there's some perfectly fine things on them thay are still perfectly fine.

Even wizaard agreed with banning cruel slaughter for e.g.

Far right to me means racist

The National Front and some of the skin head movements were racist

Targeting corner shops and riots on the streets

That's a million miles away from what we have today

So making Britain great again, reject common market, scrapping foreign aid, rebuild armed forces, deport criminals etc etc.

So what. They'll be things written on far left boards that you agree with. Not everything they say is necessarily bad is it.

The far right doesn't exist beyond a very small number. Anyone with sense knows this.

Reform aren't far right.

Reform are called far right because the mainstream media have named them such

To me it does

If you don't agree that's fine I'm sure in civil service speak it means something completely different

I see your lot have just released a 150 page dossier about the new government logo and where the full stop goes

Great use of tax payers money

What the likes of Mex should be worried about is there almost no trust for the establishment. Who have lied for decades and many younger people don't trust them 1 bit, due to the 2 tier approach, the handing of rape gangs situation and people who spoke out, constant lying and labelling of normal people with genuine concerns.

It would be interesting to know if Mex and 1966 have researched Mr Robinson sufficiently for e.g.

Is he all the labels the media claim? If so why? Is he racist if so where's the proof? Don't just parrot some opinion piece, get me actual facts.

Come on...

"Look things up if you proffess not to know about them."

Yet every time something is posted on here to show he was speaking some sense on this or isn't the monster the media claimed, people say ahhh I'm not watching that crap.

The look things up brigade suddenly don't want to look things up.

Seems I was wrong about the NF I'll hold my hands up, even though I was only reacting to pics which don't show what's mentioned, that @Chunkylad seemed to be finding out about too, yet no-one had a go at him?

Back on topic to the OP theres definitely an unholy alliance these days and the antisemitism comes from the left or both of these groups.

The left have been blind to issues and can basically be blamed for the covering up of the worst crimes, the rape gangs. Their woke don't offend and talk about the truth culture lead to covering up rather than dealing with it and the same labelling and cancel culture still exists today.

The left have a lot to answer for for this countries issues.

You say Illegal immigration is a small proportion of immigration. 44,000 in the year ending March 2025.

However it has already been established that so far this year, in the first 6 months 20,000 boat people have crossed the channel. I wouldn't call that a small proportion, almost 50% with another 6 months to go.

Wouldn't you expect 50% after half had year?!

I was talking about illegal immigration as a percentage of total immigration. You seem confused.

When you compare it to the 1.5 million coming in via legal routes, its miniscule.

Looks like Nige is rolling back on Halal now?
Yeah seen it, a lot of talk of being weak.

However hes the only realistic option and also has to try and get a majority, he thinks right now it's not a huge issue also it'll play badly with the media etc and some voters they'll need to get that majority. Think hes trying to play the game bit it's annoying his base for sure.

Who are you going to blame when your hero Farage gets his grubby hands on the country and makes it significantly worse with Trump as his inspiration?
