Things will come good..... in Simon and his team I still trust.

Most of these players have less than 5 games at BFC, Did we always used to be so impatient or is it only since the Premier league?
We all want success and especially in these troubled times, moods are low and the football can lift our spirits if we win and crush them if we lose. It’s all being magnified even more.

The recruitment process is ok by me, there’s nothing wrong with identifying young and hungry players with pace. My issue is that we need a couple of experienced heads in there, which seems to have been ignored.
We also don’t have one decent and proven striker at the club and they have 4 days to sort it.
It also can’t be underestimated how much this team need a crowd behind them.
Not having a crowd effects every team not just us we are no different in not having a crowd

What does make us unique is the fact we have no leaders, and are without a strong spine

That is down to NC ..

Ive said on other threads new owner , managment team, new manager, new backroom team, new squad, It will take weeks to come good . I wont worry till end of november you have to let them all get used yo each other and GELL

There's no clear evidence to support any positive thinking. A coach with no knowledge of league1 has brought in a bunch of mid 20's league2, released and young reserve players. I would add that Mansford and Johnson have to share the blame for the bizarre recruitment policy.
With this short post you have hit the nail on the head bizarre is the key word.

I can see there are problems Nigel, but whereas you have spat your dummy and decided that we should yet again be changing everything despite not seeing the players fully fit and settled in to a team and formation they're familiar with, I'm able to see the bigger picture.
...and just what is the bigger picture?

Another few weeks of this and we will be playing catch-up for the rest of the season and, at best, end up mid-table. The season written off by end of November?

Ok we have had a couple of poor results and performances but I honestly believe from what I know is going on behind the scenes that we will be ok. I would even dare to believe that with the positivity I have witnessed that this season could still be one that we will be celebrating come May. 👍🏼
Well said mosser.

We have only just started the season and the veinbulging has started.

A couple of wins and the table will look totally different

agree with this, i've noticed especially on saturday against ipswich, we are keen going forward but as soon as we lose the ball there is no-one with a decent tackle in them, we are closing down but not winning the ball back

...and there were several suspect signings in Lubala, Woodburn, Kemp. Also the Board recognised that Critchley needed experienced help so brought in Calderwood who I would credit with improving the defence. Even muppet mosser, yourself and others must see that...I very much doubt it though!

Hahaha even phill digging the knife into NC.Some people have no patience

I don't think we've all bought into the Liverpool style but like it or not that is what we are playing so if you talk about football that's what you have to analyse. Anyway don't panic I got an e-mail from the Club yesterday They want me in as sweeper. Oddly though they've told me to report to Bloomfield Rd and not Squires Gate.
I'm back as sweeper for the play offs. Didn't get selected for Swindon though but hoping I will next time.

And surely you realise that Critchley has played a massive part in us reaching the playoffs. There's nothing wrong in admitting you got it wrong. Come be a man not shroom

Getting to the playoffs built on team spirit, being organised, counter attacks at pace and bloody hard to beat.
Takes time to build but takes vision and damn good coaching
No argument with that...and what an addition Calderwood has been to the coaching team. Credit to Critchley for listening and improving. Well done to the coaches and players.

Well done Mosser I’m glad you have been proved right. Reading through this I can understand why posters back at the time we’re taking some convincing as it wasn’t looking that great but I would imagine that the majority realised it was a work in progress back then and many would see the work being done behind the scenes was eventually going to start moving us forward.

However there really are some grade A know it all’s that talk absolute bobbins and it gives me great pleasure to read back the drivel they post and smile.

We haven’t done it yet but my gosh when we are good we are REALLY GOOD

Forgive me for not being one of Mosser's disciples. I plough my own furrow right or wrong. If truthful, you're as surprised as I am that we've come this far. Happy to give credit to Critchley, Calderwood and players for getting to the play offs.

Yes I think most of us would have been worried back then even Ben Mansford in the Armfield Club opening video was sounding quite un hopeful in his “hopefully in Critch we trust” speech

But I would hope many of us saw things in the first few games last season (especially away at Fleetwood and at home against Tranmere where we were magnificent in defeat) and in the pre season games that something looked a little bit exciting and maybe just maybe things would start coming together.

Mosser called it right and I’m happy we have turned it around because I really like Neil Critchley and I love seeing his interviews when he is in a happy place.

I am hoping now we can do it. It’s not guaranteed but we definitely are as good as anyone and I would argue better on our day and with players coming back we are looking stronger than ever.

So what do you mean then?
You accuse someone of being snide by being overtly snide. That's what I meant. And I do think that your spine has been a bigger problem than the team's spine throughout the season. Fortunately Critch's spine was significantly more robust. I don't want an argument but your constant sniping for weeks and months on end was tiresome to say the least.

I never wanted Critchley out but I’ll hold my hand up in admitting I highly doubted him and the players after 10 games or so. More than happy I’ve been proved wrong though. Massive credit to Critch, Calderwood and everyone involved this season. Completely lost love with football in general after the boycott but this season has brought it all back 🧡

.. and selectively missed out ..

No leaders .. great call that one 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
The spine improved when Ballard was brought in on loan, Dougall was signed and Madine was eventually selected, helping Yates enormously. Maxwell is having the season of his professional career.
