I really enjoy reading and contributing on this AVFTT. It seems the childish spats witnessed on the other site are few and far between here. There are healthy disagreements which is great for discussion.

ive just had a quick look on the old site (first time in two weeks) and it’s the same old.....OG winding everyone up (is he for real) people biting like anything to bus, Lythamkev etc.
Wonder if this board eventually goes the same way when the old warriors finally come over?
 
Good to see lots of new users on here as well. I think the look of the site, the functionality and actually the healthy debate sprinkled with a few decent off topic items are appealing to a lot further than the old AVFTT users - a site which did become toxic.

I like the fact there are Report, block and ignore buttons on here as well and hopefully any real grievances can be taken to individuals messaging. I noticed a ridiculous thread on here the other night was locked by the Mods which should also ensure petty insult threads will be closed down.

All in all the more new fans who join, the healthier the debate on here should become, and hopefully those who use it as a baiting arena will go elsewhere.

Totally agree Clappers the Avfft of old was fun and you could have a laugh then the boycott and it all became stale and dominated by hatred and arguments.
Even Blood is back on form. 😆

So like the club with a new owner it needed a clean sweep and we have it with this new site.👍

Possibly. I think it might be a bit easier to spot and moderate stuff that’s getting out of hand and dragging it down but I’m not advocating for a nanny state approach. I’m not averse from a few choice words or heated disagreement and swearing where appropriate myself. There’s a difference between all that and just targeted abuse between people that was what turned me off for years on the old board.

suppose it’s up to all of us to keep it like this. The nunbers of posters and guests has amazed me to be honest with the dire on field state of play.
 
The differences here of course include the ability to private message others as well as the option to ignore members too. So in theory any long term spats between posters that drag on and on could simply be taken to PM and/or just ignore each other.
 
Omg, really, its the same posters, wait til 20,s gets back from skippyland, then it will be home sweet home
 
For anyone who hasn't ignored me so far or hasn't blocked me I also feel this is a step up again. Decent posts, good debates and friendly banter. 👍

Just to add, I've seen one poster has arrived who I have used the ignore button on, just to keep my blood pressure down.
