I have just spent the last hour watching the highlights of this seasons games. You can really see the difference between the start of the season where we were a brand new team with not much understanding to yesterdays result at Portsmouth. For all the frustration we go through at times, it is fair to say that the development of the team and their understanding has been amazing. If we dont achieve promotion this season then i strongly believe that this team is only getting better and will be there 100% next season.

I can't ever remember a Blackpool team in the last 40 years that has looked as solid defensively as this one. Strangely we have managed to do this with the back four changing nearly every game. I actually put a lot of it down to the midfield, Stewart and Dougall make us hard to beat.
If we can just tweak things a bit in an attacking sense we should be in with a very good chance next season if we fall short this time.

If it is Colin Calderwood that has worked with the defenders, then he has done an astounding job.

The main difference is the defence, if I'm honest I don't think much has changed with our attacking prowess and what has happened is we've stopped leaking goals which allowed teams to shut up shop and then we had no chance of scoring.

I think we need to get the first goal in order to go on to win the game, a great defence gives us the platform to do that. It's not often this season we've come from behind to win - in fact I think the only game was Hull at home.

Agreed, but it was always likely to be the case. it was a completely new team and relatively new manager, it was always going to take time to gel. Not all on here got that.
It got to the point where it looked complete failed, and Critchley needed some help. not all on here got that.
