Time To “Ditch” Taking The Knee??

It will probably stop after this season. There are some really big issues to be concerned about in society. This is not one of them.

It’s not politics. It’s real. We live in a country that has decent intentions but hasn’t yet followed through. And a country who’s starting point is horrendous. The racist legacy needs eradicating, quoshing, ending.

I’ll take the nod on that from others that aren’t privileged, white.

I am not sure, for example, Grant Ward would agree with your rant. As for hiding behind the 6th form poster, that really is a bit feeble. If it’s going to ‘spoil your evening’, then feel free to stay at home,

End the problem, then end the protest.
“I’ll take the nod on that from others that aren’t privileged, white.”...............I’m white and according to idiots like you I’ll no doubt be “privileged”........

jokers like you do so much more harm than good to any cause you join because you are so so devout that you are totally blinded to any sort of perspective as much as you are detested by the majority of the silent majority

It's is up to the players and considering Ward said he has been abused on line it's not really surprising they may want to do it. Over in a few seconds, so no real fuss. And if it keeps us winning then keep doing it until after the play offs!
I do hope they ditch it though before next season.

But what does it achieve? apart from ooh, look at me..........................nothing. It does not make people anymore aware than they were already and it does not stop the numbnuts who post their abuse on social media. It is no more effective than just saying "Kick-It-Out" but at least that campaign did not irritate the buggery out of some people and had 100% support from the fans.

You ok, or do you need a lie down..?

What does it matter in the long run? If the players feel they are taking a side with other players and forms a bond, then good for them, good for the unity it shows and good for the togetherness it brings.

Nobody is forcing the players to do this, unlike the shaking of hands with the opposition and officials before kick off, which is mandatory I believe.

I can’t imagine running into a Church and booing people for kneeling and saying a prayer because I didn’t agree with it. No, I’d be tolerant and let people believe in what they want to. It’s 20 seconds out of your life. As they say, if you can’t say anything nice, then perhaps better to say nothing at all.

'The Silent Majority' always makes me laugh, it's even better now that there's a 'Majority of The Silent Majority', Nixon never thought of that one.

You obviously weren't around for the Olympics in 1968 / 1972. A simple gesture, massive importance and impact. Your ignorance is showing matey.

As far as I recall it created the same kind of disagreements between sports fans as it does now, I certainly felt the same way about it then as I do now.

It's another case of the silent majority doesn't honestly believe all the mud being thrown is valid. The whole BLM thing is based around systemic racism accusations but nobody ever really explains what those are and where they are occasionally referred to it turns out its actually a far left opposition to centric right policies which one could argue affects poor and disadvantaged of any skin colour. Even the cop kneeling on that chap that seemed to kick start this wasn't actually proven to be anything to do with racism...the cop just happened to be white and the criminal a person of colour. They even knew each other from working a nightclub together.
I don't think anyone sane says racism doesn't exist...it clearly does but mainly at an individual level. You go somewhere like India and see how some Indians talk about pakistanis and vice versa and you will understand its not just white privilege to blame for everything (and let's be honest that's another vile attempt to divide people by suggesting all white people are privileged and if you refuse to accept that you're pro racist and suffer from white fragility...its laughable) the whole thing at the moment smells of a rather nasty branch of far left politics which is being used extremely successfully to divide people in the same vein as the gender / trans wars in the feminist groups is eating each other.

Best thing to do is just let it all flow over you as these things are cyclical and it will move onto something else in a few years.

You're spittin' in the wind with that one, there are those who would prefer to believe the more dramatic version.
