Just read Jane's blog and she was asking for tips for poaching an egg. Mine is:

Get the water just boiling, add some salt and vinegar, then put your egg in the water in its shell for about 20 seconds. Then stir the water and break your egg in 🥚

Don't let the farmer catch you at it.

I always get the water up to the boil then turn the heat right down until the water stops boiling. Stir the water, crack in the egg and then whack up the heat again.

I heard it can be done on a geyser so I asked a bloke from the East End of London 😁

As per boiling water... Make a whirl pool effect in middle and drop egg in.
If doing quite a few eggs then try using a muffin baking tray... Put table spoon of water in each one, crack egg into each one... Oven Gas 6 for 9 mins... Worked for me and is easier when lots to do.

Just buy an egg poacher, you can do 4 at once, or if you are having a dinner party you can get poachers that cook 10 eggs awesome eh??
