Hospitals are always full at this time of year,
look at the ONS uk death figures for October 2019 compared to October 2020. There was seven of a difference!!!! Every death is tragic but is it worth shutting the whole country and resulting in more non COVID related premature deaths.
Pat Coombs more likeIs she likely to know who that is?
If he... sorry she..... knows Ten Ton Tessie (from Tennessee) aka Tessie O’Shea, then I think she’s old enough to know Peggy Mount. Is she likely to know who that is?
the difference between going to the pub and shopping in asda is people are not hugging and kissing each other in asda but when pissed in pubs are slobbering all over each other and yes i do know what im talking about being a doorman who has worked on pubs for too many years. So where does it end???? ye millions of people have underlying health conditions, doesnt mean they will get ill. there is a lot more people that are getting ill BECAUSE of this lockdown and many more lost their livelihood
why is it anyone that wants to go to the pub is classed as the enemy, yet ten tonne tessy and her extended family can go and wobble down the isle at Asda filling her trolly with smart price baked beans and gets away Scot free
Before lockdown me and my wife used to go to the pub three or four times a week . Usually a couple of hours after work or a Saturday or Sunday lunchtime I don’t remember slobbering over anyone but let’s tar everyone with the same brush. Oh balls, am I allowed to use that expression it might have some racial connotation.
Conclusive proof it doesn't happen then.I dont go to pubs where people kiss and hug me.
Yes, not in the pubs I frequent anyway. Each to their own though.Conclusive proof it doesn't happen then.
Unfortunately it is that kind of thinking that has led to some people believing there is no risk because they haven't caught it.Yes, not in the pubs I frequent anyway. Each to their own though.
Nope. Fully aware of the risk which is why I abide by the rules and guidelines when frequenting pubs, restaurants, Asda or even Bloomfield. I cant help what others do. I havent seen this hugging and kissing you mention though.Unfortunately it is that kind of thinking that has led to some people believing there is no risk because they haven't caught it.
Not heard from that Raggy fellow for ages, wonder where he is?
I wasn't singling you out claiming you behave in that manner.Nope. Fully aware of the risk which is why I abide by the rules and guidelines when frequenting pubs, restaurants, Asda or even Bloomfield. I cant help what others do. I havent seen this hugging and kissing you mention though.
Well back then there was no virus! I'll have to take your word for it. I wouldn't be going in those kind of places anyway. I've been very selective about where I've been going this year.I wasn't singling you out claiming you behave in that manner.
I worked on the doors in town for 6 years up until 2017, trust me, a hell of a lot of hugging and kissing goes on in pubs, bars & clubs.
I agree with what you're saying, but the problem with this particular virus is it could spread to an unknown amount of people who wouldn't have the first clue that they were carriers due to being asymptomatic, and then pass it on to family, work colleagues etc who, like you, would never dream of going in bars & clubs.Well back then there was no virus! I guess the point is that when they open the pubs up, if you dont feel comfortable, dont go. I wouldn't be if I had a health issue or was over 70.
Well you could say the same about shops, schools, unis being open too. I'm amazed at the amount of none essential shops open.I agree with what you're saying, but the problem with this particular virus is it could spread to an unknown amount of people who wouldn't have the first clue that they were carriers due to being asymptomatic, and then pass it on to family, work colleagues etc who, like you, would never dream of going in bars & clubs.
The "I'm alright, Jack" attitude of some who have never caught it or know anyone that has will undoubtedly be contributing to the spread, thus being one of the causes why we continue to be living under the current restrictions.
Again, I agree.Well you could say the same about shops, schools, unis being open too. I'm amazed at the amount of none essential shops open.
Night, night Sir.Again, I agree.
But that is a different discussion, and it's getting late
Yeah but people have to get food and essential items. I love going to the pub as much as the next man but it is a 'social activity'So where does it end???? ye millions of people have underlying health conditions, doesnt mean they will get ill. there is a lot more people that are getting ill BECAUSE of this lockdown and many more lost their livelihood

but you dont go out to get totally obliterated.I dont go to pubs where people kiss and hug me.
I'm not that old!!but you dont go out to get totally obliterated.
a BIG number of the younger revellers are sniffed up on coke on top of everything else. i suggest when pubs re open and you visit just watch how many frequent the toilets together and go into the same cubicle great social distancing.
inhibitions are down so all the social distancing goes out of the window.
I agree schools espcially uni and non essential shops.Well you could say the same about shops, schools, unis being open too. I'm amazed at the amount of none essential shops open.
but you respect the problem of the virus and im sure you abide by the restrictions.I'm not that old!!
I am old before my time if I'm honest! Yes, I've always followed the rules in pubs etc. I dont think its difficult so struggle with why others cant! Its exasperatting.but you respect the problem of the virus and im sure you abide by the restrictions.
