Today is the first of many footballing steps in the right direction.....

Said on tonight’s Podcast that today was an improvement on the last few games. We looked more solid and Ballard, Gretarsson, Woodburn and Andy Warhol will make a difference.

Still a bit toothless in the final third but that will come. We need to show patience to let the new lads settle in, but things will improve.

UTP.

This isn’t negativity merely a question. We have signed 17 new players and played 14 who by common consensus need time to gel. Lincoln have signed 14 new players, they are 3rd in the table, we are 20th. Why don’t they need time to gel? Answers on a postcard please.

Absolutely brilliant!!!
If we give the boys some latitude and say we've only played an eighth of the season, we should be looking at 32 points, come May, or whenever we finish the campaign.
That's relegation form.
Apparently we were the "better team" today, but still couldn't put them to the sword.
Great to see so much positivity on here after "earning" our fourth point from six games.
Wonder what NC said at half-time to lose the initiative?

There’s 40 games left, it only matters then.

Because they are not learning very complex and fast paced tactics. What Critchley wants from his players is not the norm for this division and it will take time for it to be perfected. But I am willing to wait until it is. There will be some more moments when it looks horrible, but give it time and it will suddenly be beautiful.

As I said a legitimate question. After waiting years to divest ourselves of the stains, I am prepared to wait a while longer. Just wondering.

I don't think Lincoln have changed their whole ethos though.

I'm happy to be patient and do acknowledge the newness of the team.
My frustration comes out of not recognising the goal scoring potential in the tactics so far.
If we were showing forward moves that weren't coming off because players are unfamiliar with each other & the system, then fine. But I don't see the moves in the final third that are going to get the goals.
No, I'm not a 'want it here & now' person. I'm just saying what frustrates me with what I'm watching.

I’m amazed at the divided opinion on here considering the amount of change that has taken place.
Typical of the β€œwant it now” generation when what we actually need is a little bit of patience!
Don't you think that's as much down to the fact we've had so little to cheer about and life is a bit shit at the moment as it is desperately wanting a win?
