England players are supposed to represent the whole country instead of making divisive political gestures.
Or maybe politicians should stay out of football instead of telling footballers to concentrate on penalties. Works both ways.He may be a knob but he's right. England players are supposed to represent the whole country instead of making divisive political gestures.
If you genuinely think the English football team are a divisive force, you either need a new dictionary or a new outlook on life.He may be a knob but he's right. England players are supposed to represent the whole country instead of making divisive political gestures.
The players kneeling created the division, the booing & debate predated the government wading in. The government view was shared by approx half of the country (the half not represented by the BBC) . The national team are now trying to say that people against the kneeling are racist and are the cause of a few morons saying some nasty things on social media. Although, we all know the same idiots have been making similar abusive comments forever.Or maybe politicians should stay out of football instead of telling footballers to concentrate on penalties. Works both ways.
It's the politicians telling us it's gesture politics that creates division. Its racist attitudes and behaviours that creates division. Not footballers.
All in all, he's not right, other than politically where he's very right (wing)

I agree that I never want to see another politician wearing an England shirt, although it does provide a few comedy moments when they try to talk about about football and make an arse of themselves.
They just can't stop themselves can they? MP for Romford tells Tyrone Mings to stick to football and not politics.
Know your place.
He may be a knob but he's right. England players are supposed to represent the whole country instead of making divisive political gestures.
@20togohe doesn't know who Tyrone Mings is, but claims to be an England fan. I'll leave you to deal with himWouldn’t know this mings if I fell over him, nor would I want to but whoever he is the online abuse he encouraged against an Asian lady was absolutely disgusting
You don't notice much do you? First on the other thread you've explained that as a white man you've shockingly never encountered racism so don't believe in it's existence and now you've not heard of a quite high profile footballer.Wouldn’t know this mings if I fell over him, nor would I want to but whoever he is the online abuse he encouraged against an Asian lady was absolutely disgusting
I’ve just googled him, it would seem he peaked at Chippenham I would suggest it’s him that is playing the race card, priti has had more vulgar abuse thrown at her in five minutes than he’s had in his life@20togohe doesn't know who Tyrone Mings is, but claims to be an England fan. I'll leave you to deal with him
And Patel playing the race card is beyond satire.
Why would I cross paths with an over paid mouth peice? You don't notice much do you? First on the other thread you've explained that as a white man you've shockingly never encountered racism so don't believe in it's existence and now you've not heard of a quite high profile footballer.
Do you only know of people you've met?Why would I cross paths with an over paid mouth peice?
So you didn't watch any England games, the first two group games, he played in.Why would I cross paths with an over paid mouth peice?
Didn’t see much of the gamesHave you been in the armfield clubSo you didn't watch any England games, the first two group games, he played in.
Yes. Fair enoughDidn’t see much of the gamesHave you been in the armfield club
How did he encourage abuse and what is the relevance of the lady being Asian?Wouldn’t know this mings if I fell over him, nor would I want to but whoever he is the online abuse he encouraged against an Asian lady was absolutely disgusting
Perhaps your namesake is an over paid mouth piece? Just sayingWhy would I cross paths with an over paid mouth peice?
Ming isn’t fit to lace his bootsPerhaps your namesake is an over paid mouth piece? Just saying
It's a very poor effort to play the race card, implying he only said it because she was Asian. How did he encourage abuse and what is the relevance of the lady being Asian?
Have you got cataracts?Ming isn’t fit to lace his boots
Would be better if idiots like him stayed out of politics. And there is nothing that states footballers cannot get involved in politics. They’re no civil servants. They just can't stop themselves can they? MP for Romford tells Tyrone Mings to stick to football and not politics.
Know your place.
Perhaps, I just can't grasp the connection... I mean the player made no reference to her race, he was just highlighting the hypocrisy of her condemnation of racism, in light of her comments about booing the knee. It's a very poor effort to play the race card, implying he only said it because she was Asian.
The fact you don’t think Patel had received racial abuse essentially makes you either very ignorant, a racist or both. You really need to put your hatred of all things Tory aside to see this. I suppose some only see what they want to.@20togohe doesn't know who Tyrone Mings is, but claims to be an England fan. I'll leave you to deal with him

Where have I said she hasn't received racial abuse? I'm sure she will have. Racists don't see the politics, just the colour. Doesn't excuse her hypocrisy around the Euros. The fact you don’t think Patel had received racial abuse essentially makes you either very ignorant, a racist or both. The same ignorant knob heads that sent the England players stupid racist tweets are the same type of stupid knob heads sending Patel stupid racist tweets. Like I said, it’s racist or it isn’t, you seem to think patel saying she is and has received racist tweets is satire. I presume you think it’s funny or you don’t believe her. Either way it makes you ignorant or racist.Where have I said she hasn't received racial abuse? I'm sure she will have. Racists don't see the politics, just the colour. It's fine to boo the players but not send them tweets? How does that work?
No, I said the comment was beyond satire by trying to get sympathy for the hard line Home Secretary who has publicly told the England team their anti racism stance is gesture politics, ie shallow and false. The same ignorant knob heads that sent the England players stupid racist tweets are the same type of stupid knob heads sending Patel stupid racist tweets. Obviously in your opinion. Not fact. so you agree the racism she’s receiving should be condemned all the same. No, I said the comment was beyond satire by trying to get sympathy for the hard line Home Secretary who has publicly told the England team their anti racism stance is gesture politics, ie shallow and false.
Absolutely.Obviously in your opinion. Not fact. so you agree the racism she’s receiving should be condemned all the same.
Not confirmed but I believe Patel’s father was a UKIP candidate!! Source…LBC James O’Brien this morning. Says it all!!No, I said the comment was beyond satire by trying to get sympathy for the hard line Home Secretary who has publicly told the England team their anti racism stance is gesture politics, ie shallow and false.

I believe you might be correct.I believe you may be referring to a certain Scott Benton, MP for Blackpool South...
