Just got off the phone with Northern Rail. Even though the strike got called off, they did it so late that they 'haven't had time' to reinstate the trains today. No service all day, but they get the good PR of cancelling the strike. Piss take.

Rant over, how do we feel about strikes?

And all the staff are getting paid because the ain't on strike but don't have to work.👎

Just listened to one of the old union bosses he's absolute scathing that the strike has been called off yet no deal has been offered to it's members.

How about a related question:
Is it right that public sector workers be underpaid just so that Governments have enough money to spend on their pet projects?

Or, is it right that public sector workers are underpaid because they're not respected by Tory Governments?

Why not class MPs as Public Sector workers?
Put them in a middle capacity pay scale and see how they like it.
Unfortunately there are so many things that MPs can claim for that it probably wouldn't make much difference.😏

Don’t forget the huge fees for services rendered to the lobbyists, which are undoubtedly there if they want it.
