Currently about 30 caravans on the sports field, yesterday and today I’ve witnessed the contents of elsan (caravan chemical toilet) being dumped in the adjacent woods.

The dyke is being used as a dumping ground for tree green waste along with large amounts of chipped bark which yesterday (after the recent rain) almost caused the dyke to burst its bank.

Loose Dogs running around shitting all over the football and rugby fields it’s just disgusting where’s the Dog wardens?

Yesterday the car park lights at the adjacent Doctors surgery were all smashed resulting in 2 days of the car park being closed it’s just balmy.

Kids on Unregistered Quad bikes screaming around all over the place and cutting up the grass.

I’ve contacted Wyre council who say the issues will be addressed when they leave the area hopefully on Friday.

It’s an absolute cover up council/police just not interested in getting involved.

God help local residents where these lot end up going next.

I totally agree about it being their choice.

But if I pulled my caravan on there say next week how long would the council/police let me stay a week like these people?

Likewise if I let my Dog shit and didn’t pick up and got caught It would justify a fixed penalty notice yet these people are above all laws and constantly get away with everything.

That’s the point I’m making. What’s the point of the police sorting things out after they’ve left. They’ll be somewhere else doing exactly the same things and still getting away with it.
During lockdown when we couldn’t even attend the funerals of loved ones they were holding wakes with hundreds lining the streets and getting away with it because the police wouldn’t risk trouble breaking out. And that was before they were being set an example by Downing Street.

You cannot speak to a human at the council.
They subject us those detested robotic voicemails because they hate the public complaining about the atrocious service they provide.

My brother worked for a council down south and was responsible for evicting the travellers from parks etc. He did so but was advised by the police to use different routes whilst driving home as they had spotted him and were trying to find his home address.

Same every year, it'll be Lawsons next, just like last year and my brave investigate photography for the good of this site.

The council and brave police do fuck all.

Wouldn't bother taking your dog on there any time soon, lots of caravans have arrived with kids driving cars around the paths. I don't think it's the Caravan Club.

Last week they where on the fields opposite the big Tesco Mereside they just move from one place to another they'll end up opposite the club on Central like they did last year.

I pity the kids soccer schools when they do finally return as the whole field where they play are covered in piles and piles of Dog crap.
Surprise surprise I’ve not seen a single Dog warden since the travellers arrived.

There was a documentary on travellers last year where it showed them being stopped from using local council tips to deposit their waste because they weren't local residents.
 
Saw a load being escorted out of town Monday along the M55
Wonder if they doubled back ( though they were prevented from exiting at Kirkham )
 
Quite simply the police and authorities are scared of them and do not have enough resource to control any anti social goings on. In a nutshell they can and will do as they like.
 
If I didn’t pay my road tax I’d expect my vehicle to be clamped / crushed.


How are this lot allowed to flout every law going?
The Untouchables.
 
I remember in the 80s where they turned up on a football pitch on a friday afternoon and were asked to move as the team had a cup game on the Saturday. They refused. The pitch was at the side of a canal and a short time later half a dozen. Or so locals turned up on the other side of the canal with catapults put as few caravan windows through they were gone the next morning
 
Human Rights protected category. Councils have to be careful and if they do try to get tough the courts lean in their favour before making and Possession Orders on land.
