Wonder what the interest was for Critch? Young unproven striker - largely flattered to deceive - done nothing at Wednesday in 2 months bar one subs appearance,

Didn’t he have a half decent game against us last season? Seem to remember him being a handful in the away match

Think it was the season before when we lost 1-0 at Lincoln and he came on as sub and scored the winner . Awful game one of Simon's last.

It was a position the club needed to strengthen at the time with Madine injured and Lavery unproven, he had a decent spell in L1 the season before, at least when he was fit, and has a good record in PL2.

It's always a gamble when you take these sorts of loans, this one just didn't work out.

Gone to Ipswich .. poor sods!
Tbf he showed a few nice touches etc, just didn't work out, players develop so that's what the loans are about.

He might just click on one especially with a bit more space in league 1.

I reckon at lot of youngsters shine at their level but then struggle to make the step up and you don't really know until you throw them in.
As someone said above, he had some good touches but looked a kid in a man's game.

He's a talented lad who gets in the England U21 team. He just wasn't ready physically and mentally for the battleground of the Championship. Success at the top level is part talent, part confidence, part resilience etc. He may or may not develop those things. We saw his ability at times, mainly in the Carabao. Less intense/physical games. I think Nuttall had a similar issue, but more so. With less ability.
