Tyrer on permanent, as per Alan Nixon

Every player, including those who play for England, makes mistakes at times, and whereas outfielders often get away with it often due to a team mate clearing up for them, a goalkeeper is the last man and if he makes a mistake it often means a goal is scored.

HT improved immensely over the season and I would have him back in a flash.

It always amazes me how fans remember the mistakes and negatives, but rarely remember the positives.

It would be a good signing imo. Yes he has his flaws, but you just aren't going to get a goalkeeper that excels in all areas because they don't end up playing in league one. We can improve him I think, and he made some genuinely world class saves last season. He'll also have much more experience playing in front of him next season.

Not commanding enough for me.He did improve as the season went but I think we can bring in a better goalkeeper.
He's very good at the things he does well, but not commanding. Unless this can come fairly quickly I think maybe there are goalkeepers not as good at shot stopping but better in other ways. I think we need an allround keeper who is a 6/10 in everything rather than 1 who is 8/10 at a couple of things and 4/10 at the rest.

I'd also be reluctant to pay a fee as it could be added to a striker, which would be better vfm.

Goalkeepers develop later into their careers than other positions so he'll certainly improve as he plays more games.

Id be happy with us signing him as long as it wasn't a huge fee. He's a good height too and needs to learn to use it so that he can dominate his area. Needs to work on his distribution too. Fundamentals of a good keeper are there though.

It's the youth of Tyrer who i can only see getting better over the experience of the likes of a couple of released keepers like Gunn at Norwich and Ward at Leicester. As i've said I'd be happy to go with Tyrer if Bruce thinks he's upto it but yep, we still need another g/k and preferably one with a bit of experience.

Someone, possibly Kurt said it right a couple of months ago. There aren't many top class keepers in 3-4th tier, they usually go in upwards pretty quickly.

So you either take a gamble on another young loan, largely unproven and looking for game time, or you luckily find an experienced old head who can do a year but not get you anything back for it at the end.

We've effectively had the best part of a season long trial look at Harry. He'll do for me. If he wants to be here then go for it.

And if he needs to develop command of his area more, then it's for SB to tell Banks what he wants. Because I'm sure he does think that, from his touchline reaction a few times last year.

Reasonably educated guesswork in this case, but I don't think he's got anything more than what we know on here already.
To slightly back this up. Bruce bless smoke uo his arse a lot and I think more or less said he wanted him here next season.

I'd be happy if we did sign him full time

Young keeper who's come on leaps and bounds. Will no doubt be a decent keeper in the future and will prob make us some money. No brainer for me but a better back up to put pressure on him as stated above.

Would be a great signing and one of the better keepers in the division. We'd definitely make money on him per "the model".

Despite only being on loan he acted as if he was our player .

He gave the impression he cared he seemed to have fitted in well with the other lads and appeared to be a popular character .

Fantastic attitude really like him and he’ll only get better .

Got better and better as the season went on, better than Grimmy at the end of the season IMO. I’d 100% sign him up.
He made howlers in 2 of the last 3 games. He did have a great spell between January onwards though. He definitely has potential but has to cut out/limit the shockers though. Having a better, more solid defence in front of him would obviously be a big help also.
