Underwhelmed and surprised

can't believe we're not attracting some decent managers, i'd have thought a new owner willing to back his manager and with the whole club going through a transformation we'd have some top managers applying.

probably keeping it quiet before a deal is done but the lack of anything coming from the club is deafening

We are a third division club with prospects , no more than that really. Our appeal is therefore rather limited so some possible bigger
names won't be that interested. Let's see anyway.

There are few managers not with a club at the moment and the managers we may be interested in are with clubs doing well coming in to the last 10 weeks of the season. The problem was keeping Grayson on was not a good idea as his confidence was shot to pieces so the timing was unfortunat. I think they had Jones lined up and for whatever reason he now doesn’t want it. So they either have to reasses completely and take their time or wait till the end of the season and leave a caretaker in charge. It’s all a bit of a mess as Grayson didn’t read the script and completely failed to live up to Sadlers expectations even though if he had thought about it properly he should have realised he was never going to bring the expansive attacking football Sadler wanted. That may have been his mistake or the previous “holding” boards suggestion.

It,s a great job and never forget only92 people do it,but I think if I owned the club and had been so badly let down
by one of the established duffers, then I would take my time with my second selection
Let,s hope its second time lucky.

Nobody on here has a clue who we may or may not attract. Not one..

I know that Jones was spoken to and that he wanted time to consider it. After that I know nothing else but the negativity towards the board because this club doesn't have leaks and unprofessional whoppers working for it anymore is staggering.
Let the grown ups get on with it.
Simon Sadler paid £10m to end 33 years of Oyston rule. He deserves to be trusted to recruit a new manager.

If play offs were on the line, I'd understand. But they aren't.

The only sad thing about all of this is that the Grayson appointment set us back, although at the time I thought it was a good one.
