A bit like Evo, I actually enjoyed watching us play in the second half last night. Yes, Harrogate were defending their lead and yes we should have been imposing ourselves way before this but I thought we played some nice football and passed It round well - again ball control, finding the right pass and that final ball were letting us down but at least I saw some actual football (unless Ravioli had the ball in which case he just kept passing it back to their keeper)

I know it was 'only Harrogate' but you can see what Evo is trying to do - at the same time we need better than Lyons, Ashworth, Evans, CJ and dare I saw Brown who, for me, was our worst player last night.

You missed out the keeper, fairly awful too.

Agree with most of that apart from the last sentence.

How I see it, obviously we're not playing well, the team are in rehab after a disaster start to the season. We have good players and a poor team. We need some of the very key injured players back. Fletch and Blox are working hard to keep us competitive but they are our only attacking options and Blox is not a striker. They need help and a plan B. We lack midfield options so again, selection in a very key part of the field is whoever is fit plays.

I'm still refusing to worry about relegation. Even some of the teams we've lost to recently would swap their entire squad for our fit players now, cos I say again, we have good players but a bad football team. Evatt just needs time and players back to get the team functioning again.

Thats the point he was making I think, playing with less fear and making things happen.

He's maybe feeling it could be and is trying to make it into a moment where it clicks and the players now realise it's just better to go for it, don't worry as much as that's what the manager wants and that's what the fans will appreciate. Break through the fear barrier holding them back.

Thats what Evatt was trying to use that 2nd half as.

Was it against Wimbledon with Critchley in the promotion season where we lost with 10 men but should have won and actually you felt a turning point aftwr a disastrous start, different situation but maybe it's like that.

Was always going to take time to snap the players out of the mindset they were in. With coming in and getting the wins they looked better but as soon as things didn't go our way they’ve snapped back a bit.

Now they need lifting again and they know how that feels now to be going for it, the more we do that the more chance we can do it again.

Good chance on sun, won't be easy but if we play well we can quieten the travelling fans.

We only “passed it round well” when we were 3-0 down and Harrogate sat deep allowing us possession.
Soon as it went 3-2 we never had a sniff and Harrogate decided to attack and 4-2 game over.
The side 2nd bottom in league 2 had us on absolute strings and dictated the pace of the game but hey, I suppose we matched them for some of it 🙄

For me, everything that followed conceding three goals in 17 minutes was irrelevant. Evatt and his selections completely blew it. This utter failure can’t be whitewashed by praising a minimum level of competence in a game that was dead and buried.
