Vaccine Passport Yes or No

Yes, of course.

We need to get the world moving again and business doing business so the economy can start working for all of us. Those who for one reason or another do not want the jab have every right to a freedom of choice but they cannot be allowed to stand in the way of the rest of the community
Let's just have the jab! No need for the passport. At the rate we are vaccinating this won't be an issue soon and we will end up with an expensively operated administrative nightmare that will make life more difficult after the situation has been dealt with.
If it becomes a legal requirement for healthcare workers to be vaccinated then let the health care providers deal with that internally.
No need for us all to have it, vast majority of us are having the jab, that's the game changer!

The flu hasn't contributed towards the deaths of our 100k people this year and ground the country to a halt

Knowing the impact this virus has on the UK population as a starter front line health care professionals should be vaccinated against Covid 19

The flu vaccination is recommended I believe along with others

Here's the first Trust I came across

Nurses (and other health care workers) with direct patient contact who work in nursing homes, hospitals, general practices etc should have a flu vaccine every year, this is to protect them and their patients. Other vaccines are also sometimes recommended to help protect them and the vulnerable people they work with. These health services and vaccines may include BCG (against tuberculosis), varicella (against chickenpox), MMR (against measles, mumps and rubella) and hepatitis B. Social care workers should also have the annual flu vaccine.

Personally I'd say any recommended vaccines should be made compulsory in that sector

I know two doctors that won't take it. They have concerns about the long term potential effects with the pfizer and they were vocal that the license was rushed through. I'm still undecided whether to have the vaccine, then again I'm not desperate for a holiday or to rush to a pub.

Thanks.
Flu does kill a large number of people each year.
So I just wondered if there is a requirement for health workers to be vaccinated. I was sure there probably is.
No need for a vax. passport though.
Covid-19 has obviously been worse, as a novel virus. A novel strain of flu could be pretty nasty too.

People will kick and scream all they want, but Countries will want the right to protect their own citizens and health services, too many have died, too many are going to be suffering long term health issues and many Governments will be under pressure from their own peoples to ensure that fresh outbreaks aren’t imported, its going to be hard enough managing domestic outbreaks of the pandemic.

We might as well bite the bullet and join in the global effort to minimise the disease and i can see a proof of vaccination as a requirement to enter other countries.

I’ve no problem having to provide proof personally.

Aren't they just trying to push vaccine take-up with this talk?

Can't see it happening personally and if it does, there will be a hundred different workarounds for those who need it. Last year there were fake T&T apps in use that "checked you in" to venues. I am told they worked better than the real thing 😉

Should be interesting either way.

If you’ve turned down a vaccination then you shouldn’t be allowed to fill a bed in a hospital if you have covid symptoms when millions are awaiting delayed treatments. But I acknowledge I have rather extreme views on this 😀
Except no paramedic or A & E nurse would turn anyone away and rightly so.

GPs?

No, one is an orthapedic surgeon the other is an endocrinologist. They both had the same concerns, admittedly it's not their specialist field but it made me think.
I work in same team as 5 doctors and they have all had it and mixture of both AZ and biotech/Pfizer
Not come across one who has not apart from nurse who thinks it has been rushed . There are 20 people in the team
Saying that all of these have seen patient's severely ill and worse

If the vax passport comes in I hope none of the people that want it complain about the extra time and queues that will be involved in everything they do.
The length of time it takes to get into Bloomfield Road is already a pain in the arse!
I know that many people have died or been seriously ill and I don't want to trivialise the situation but this passport will be a waste of time, money and effort and ultimately will achieve little other than confirming that fact that nearly everyone is vaccinated!
You can be pro jab and anti passport, let's just get back to normal, things have been shit for long enough, let's not add to it with this white elephant of an idea.

I appreciate why you would feel like that but the same could be said for those with drug addiction, alcoholics, heavy smokers or chubbies that don’t want to lose weight.

The NHS offers free health at source even for those that don’t give two fucks about their own body or their impact on others

Both came from BAME groups and I wonder if that plays a part in their thinking?

Neither of which are likely to go anywhere near the front line, I suspect if they did their attitude would change very quickly.

Yep 100% from me

As an aside I would also suspend and discipline anyone working in the care sector who refused to have the vaccine without a medical exemption and redeploy those who cannot out of the frontline

It's a disgrace that so many are declining to have the vaccine
Unfortunately the care sector is so short staffed the care workers know there isn’t much chance of them being made to have the jab.
OK! We don’t know the long term effects of the vaccine but I’d rather take the risk and get back to normal.
Lets face it each day is a risk.

The flu has disappeared this year. Incredible stuff.

Each day is a risk. Exactly.

Wasn’t it great when people could assess risks themselves and not have to listen to some fellar who brushes his hair with a balloon tell them what’s closed and what to do.

Only when every person in every age group has been offered a vaccine. Would be massively unfair that older folk, the majority of whom are retired, will have the option of travelling abroad or indeed attending a football match before 20 to 40 somethings who have juggled work and schooling little ones and are still waiting for their appointment.

Perhaps the government just need another strap line & that'll encourage the antivaxxer's as plenty have fallen for them in the past.
Get Vaxxed Up.

Both came from BAME groups and I wonder if that plays a part in their thinking?
It was on the Andrew Marr show (I think) that Bangladeshi communities are not taking up the vaccine due to false information being spread.
Also rumours of the vaccine being based on pig products (wtf???).

Similar misinformation showing low take up in London Jewish communities (probably too busy at weddings to get round to it)

Seems Religion once again sticking its nose into modern health 😞

I suppose you could apply that thinking to smoking, drinking, eating crap food, not getting enough exercise etc.

Yep. Used to go to many places with my Yellow Fever certificate. It was never asked for mind you

No problem with a Passport, however, when I had my Jab I got a card to keep in my wallet.
I also got a sicker for the wallet to say I had had a Jab.
