Virtues goal

I think in the most part they are trying to not over celebrate and keep distance, difficult as it may be.

Just watched the full highlights then and thought the exact same.

Both Yates and Williams run over to Husband rather than Virtue, god knows why.

Just realised something then after seeing a picture of Husband celebrating taken by one of the camera men that sit at the side of the goals.

I think they've ran over to join in the celebrations there so they can get a cheeky snapshot of themselves celebrating for their instagrams and such, I always notice players intentionally celebrate in front of the cameramen at the sides for the glory shot. Virtue just made the rookie mistake of not celebrating there 😉

I did think the same, it did seem odd to me. You’d expect Virtue to have run over to Husband and celebrate together

Does amaze me that people seem very reluctant to ever give Husband credit? He very rarely puts a foot wrong. Last night he plays a 1-2 with Lubala and then most full backs at this level maybe chip that in or play it into the corridor of uncertainty. Husband, bare in mind this is somebody nobody really has down for his attacking ability, looked up into a crowd of players and played a perfectly timed, perfectly weighted ball which Virtue did well to finish. But Husband made the goal, and that’s obviously why they went to celebrate with him? Genuinely baffled nobody’s said this.

Agree.

Husband played brilliantly last night and if Garbutt had done what he did it for that goal would have been all 'that's the quality Garbutt brings etc'

Definitely. I’ve got to say I’m not sure Garbutt’s brought enough offensively to start ahead of Husband, given he’s not as good defensively. I’m still hoping he comes good though.

Husband ain't all that defensively. Sent off twice and a lot of the goals we've conceded have been because he's been out of position.

I have to disagree. He’s made errors yes. But from memory both those red cards were when he played centre half? So it’s a little unfair to judge, when he’s not a centre back. And again with the positioning comment, the Hull away goal springs to mind but the guy had the legs on him regardless, there’s little else he could have done unless he’s expected to defend 5 yards deeper than the rest of the defence.

Far too often teams target him. Why is that if he's so good? What I'm saying is that if we are to progress, we need better.

Husband is ok but, as Wiz says, he does seem to get targeted by teams as our weak link. He's good back-up for when Garbutt is out or when Garbutt plays in a more forward role but if we have designs on moving up to the Championship, we need better.

Husband is great to have on the bench for his left side of defence versatility. Always gives his all and has a great attitude. Good squad man in league 1, not as good a player as Garbutt.
No room for sentiment in football, if you want to move up the divisions then players need to improve or if possible you sign somebody better, that's just how it is.

Garbutt does it more often.
Doesn't stop it being good tho! Also Garbutt is always crocked, takes twenty minutes every game when he comes back to look like he's up to speed playing and then does something good, then gets crocked again and repeat.

Jimmy is copying his hair so we don't notice when they swap. He's hoping Critch eventually thinks he is Garbutt then he gets to play whatever.

You nailed it...instagram whores!

They all dislike Virtue after he left a poo in the shower ?
Reminds me once of when we used to play football and a lad who'd had a few too many beers one night did exactly that in the shower - said the warmth of the water had eased his bowels! For a group of lads it was the funniest thing ever!

Can’t believe you have said that. Husband presents too macho for the Alice band look Garbutt has that pretty framed appearance to carry it off. Jimmy can do the job Garbs looks the part but is inconsistent due to regular injury Fortunately we do have a varied squad

Stop it! They both look like twats! One is a good footballer and the other is a better footballer! 😉
