They all do it - how do the rules allow them too?

Theresa May spent about a tenner, Cameron spent 64k on a bathroom alone, Brown spent nothing and the Blairs spent...wait for it...127K and that was 20 years ago!

Not got figures for Major but you can't imagine him being remotely arsed what his flat looked like, Thatcher probably just painted it all black with the odd skull dotted about.
 
Surely they’re not allowed to keep this stuff. It must be public property. Mind you the next incumbent will now need to spend a fortune bringing the place up to scratch. Sell the Johnsons tacky bling to pay for it. There’s bound to be someone somewhere with the same awful taste.

I'm certainly not excusing Bojo but I should have said previous PM's have done it.
A lot of MP's in general are greedy and that's because their own rules allow them to claim for almost everything - down to the penny.
Furthermore, when they receive an inflation busting pay rise, when no other public service receives anywhere near the same, they accept it and say "it's an independent body that awards it".
An old Etonian was on the radio yesterday and he said - sic: "Waterloo was won by Old Etonians leaders, but they never make a good PM. Most MP's wouldn't survive as leaders in industry, so they become MP's without any real life experiences".
 
Is this the stuff that they ended up crowdfunding for or was that somewhere else?

Either which way, the design is absolutely horrific.

Funny how no one remembers the 48,000 prussians its always the Etonians that made the difference, which is odd because the British force was 70,000 men. They must have had a class size problem at Eton in those days.
