Was just reading the Critchley Confirmed thread

When I was very ill in hospital last year being treated for leukaemia, NC did a little video from him and the players wishing me well. So he gets my vote. Today is the first match both he and I will be back 👍
Top man - you know everyone makes mistakes and doubt anyone in his position would of turned down that move - no problem him being here for me when I think of what we had last year

Great idea getting him in early, I was pretty annoyed at the time. I realised the other week I'd just slipped back into a feeling of normality with him being head coach and forgot I was even annoyed at his appointment.

He’s decent

A lot of opinions expressed the day he was appointed, wonder if anyone has had a change of heart since that day?

I wanted to let Dobbie have a go TBH & was flabbergasted Sadler had gone for someone divisive again. It really can’t be as bad a choice as last season’s numbskulls. I know we’re in a lower division now but I’m prepared to give Critchley the benefit of the doubt. Good results & we’ll all be feeling better & any doubts quashed. There’s no point me carrying on whinging about him returning tail between his legs, a wagging tail at 5 o’clock will be a positive thing. COTMP

He was the best option available in my opinion. A head appointment over a heart appointment (Dobbs)

Let’s back him and the team. We are far more of an intimidating prospect when the holy trinity of Fans, players and manager are in tune.

You just get the feeling his intelligence level is higher than the two managers we had in between.
Which isnt saying much. 😆

I wanted Dobbie and I still think it would be more interesting from a football perspective but you cant blame Sadler for going back to NC who knows the club and most of the players and is a very thorough and professional coach. I just think Dobbie wouldn't sign Jake Beesley. He has a better intuition for what good attacking players look like than that.

Me too, I’d much rather Sadler had given Dobbie a go, but as you say, let’s see how he does. I just don’t want this passing around the back for five minutes, before hoofing it upfield.

Who knows, maybe Dobbs is the plan B if things should go wrong?

That being said, I’m glad we’ve got Critchley. He’s the only returning appointment I’ve accepted. Grayson and Appleton, I just felt were never going to work out.
