Weather forecast for Tuesday

Notice it looks brighter but 50mph winds - could be a real leveller, especially if they're quite physical and like to lump it forward. Definitely went a couple of layers light yesterday with the way that wind whips around the stands - won't make the same mistake on Tuesday!

Can’t wait for Tuesday night to see us get another three points. I was as warm as toast yesterday will be on Tuesday too.

It won't be 50 mph winds that's the gusts.
More like 35mph which is around the same when we played Doncaster last March.

The Met Office are predicting 34mph winds at kick off with gusts of up to 52mph.

Blackpool FC weather

I don't envy the Gills' fans travelling 300 miles each way in that weather. They're bound to meet hold-ups along the way.

Fuck 'em. 😜

We had to go there on a Tuesday night and Gillingham on a Tuesday night isn't a patch on the Vegas of the North.

I recall near the end of the 2008/09 season playing Burnley at home and the wind was howling that night. Every time their Keeper went to take a goal-kick it rolled away from him. Horrible night and poor result to boot. I'm hoping for better this time.

Ground was a lot more open back in the day. Being enclosed on the South West and North must give a modicum of protection.

Remember that Burnley match 1996. Was it Jenson in nets for Burnley.? I think even his own defender got cheesed off and eventually put his foot on the ball to let the keeper take the kick.

96 😲 doesn't seem that long ago, time flies. The keeper was trying his best to get the game called off as I recall.

Very windy in Fy1 just now 5 minutes from the stadium. It’s bloody horrible out there but I still want to go tonight.

Awful conditions for both players and spectators..potentially dangerous too and it's forecast to get worse later.
Is it up to the Club to make an early decision or the match referee....whatever, an early decision should be made if only to prevent the Gillingham fans having to travel although many of them have probably decided to give it a miss.
