Since Pennington came off against burton Albion injured on his debut for the club, he hasn’t played a minute for us yet he’s been on the bench in the last 3 games.
One thing that was evident against burton and in the pre-season friendlies was his ability to play balls into lavery and into the channels. He looked to be a key component of the 3-5-2 in terms of delivering quality balls into attacking areas of the pitch.
I’d assume he hasn’t played in the last three matches because he’s been coming back from injury/we hadn’t conceded until the Lincoln city game.
I think that Pennington will be key if the 3-5-2 is to be a success, and so would hope and expect that he will be re-introduced for the wolves game.
What’s frustrating is that he wasn’t reintroduced before now, as I think a lot of the reliance on the 3-5-2 is based around his ability to deliver quality balls into the attacking positions.
