What a miserable little man ...

I don't think Charlton fans will be agreeing much with that
They were awful, hardly had a chance, their goal was clearly offside
I'd say that the interview is about self preservation and deflection
I expect he will be going mental in the dressing room
He made 4 subs at half time, that hardly suggests 'unlucky, 'a bad ref' etc. That looks like a manager losing it.

He’s absolutely deluded.

Only the second penalty was the wrong decision. By that time they were all ready well and truly out of the game.

The didn’t have a shot on target, think you might want to start there Lee.

One of their fans called it right on twitter. Four on at half time and they were already on two yellows. He didn't think to take Pratley off.

So the officials were at fault ( that should get hm a charge)
His players matched us first half but were slower to the ball
Then his players aren't doing well enough, making wrong decisions at fault for the goals.

Wish he'd make his mind up. Anyone would think he was for the chop, comments like that will lose him the dressing room

I honestly don't know what you wanted Bowyer to say in that interview.
Yes the 1st penalty was nailed on, he was moaning how the ball was played in behind the defence.
Mattys goal, He's moaning how no one challenged him from picking the ball up to then having a shot.
I personally think he has every right to be pissed off by the off side goal and the 2nd pen as I thought the officials got both decisions wrong.
You cannot defend your players after one grabs Gabriel round the throat and another elbows Ballard straight in the dish.
Some of the interview I agreed with, parts of it I didn't, I never expected him to say Blackpool were magnificent and the ref had a great game.
However, when we hear Critch's interview that's exactly what we'll hear.

Good post but I note that he did say their goalie didn't have a save to make in the first half. Err, Virtue's shot, which he didn't save.

I thought it was a good interview, I thought Prattley's sending off was a bit unlucky. Gabriels tackle was fine, they just ended in a heap. I think Matty Virtue helped get him sent off for reacting, he pushing him twice. The ref was a fair distance away.

Their striker for the second red, led with his arm and I initally thought booking.
I think we're starting to do what teams were doing to us early season by influencing the ref. It's a massive part of football now sadly.

At the beginning of the interview you see a few of our players run past.
Did he do the interview on 60 minutes?
😂😂

Looks and sounds exactly what I'd expect a Charlton manager to look and sound like. Mix of Curbishley and Pardew.

Tbf to him he's held that club together for a few years in his first job but they don't look in good nick at the moment.

He got the attitude of his team all wrong. When his players were losing it at the beginning of the second half he was on the touch line doing his rag. No wonder they got two sent off. Led by a clown.

It was a long way from the camera. The Blackpool players' reaction was instinctive which suggests to me that he did something whilst getting up off the ground.

He looked like he was going to cry, he obviously knows he's not got much time left.To be fair, I do think we were lucky with the refs decisions today, more often than not those kinds of decisions seem to be going against us.

Contrast with Critch when we've been done over by a team who spend 90 minutes trying to influence the ref using every streetwise trick in the book. You don't see him criticising his players, You don't see him bad mouthing the ref and officials. He shrugs his shoulders, learns and moves on. Refreshing.

I think Bowyer needs to look at this.
First pen definitely no doubt
Their goal, offside all day, striker moves before the ball is headed forward
Virtue goal, his team didn't close him down
First sending off, ref had a clear uninterrupted view of what happened. You can't see on the camera but something sinister must have happened
Second pen, contact is made and Yates falls, that is a pen these days - albeit very soft
Second sending off - clear as day. An elbow in Ballard's face, dangerous play.

Dead man walking

It looks to me on the highlights, that as Pratley gets up he has his hands around the neck of our player

His team were pretty shite today but I do agree with him the ref was harsh with a couple of the incidents imo.He needs to sort his body language out though because he looks like he is about to burst into tears. Also poor decision to single Connor Washington out in public like that, not sure that will go too well for him.

I thought Yates was going to get booked for diving for the second pen tbf but the ref seemed to be wound up by Charlton and wasn't having them at all.

Seems to be a few managers like that now though with body language and how they speak. Every Scott Parker interview sounds like that The Streets guy who used to talk through all his songs. Dry your eyes mate.

Would absolutely sign Chuks Aneke off them even though he got sent off today. Useful Plan B. Stood out when he was at Crewe years ago. Pain in the arse to play against.

The offside header was at least a yard off. Not even close. For the second penalty I thought Watson wasnt up to the pace having only just come on, and left a hanging foot. In the modern game it was a penalty all day long.

His whole demeanour, body language and manner in which he speaks is absolutely shocking. THAT is probably the reason for Charlton's problems. He's all chipper when the going is good, but appears to be a sulking, shoulder shrugging, low mooder in defeat. Bit like he was as a player.

And he publicly calls out Conor Washington. Disgraceful IMO.

You can see he's simmering with sheer anger under the surface. Would hate to work for him.

Be interesting to see how they get on when they appeal the sendings off, first one may have been a bit soft as it was a coming together of 2 players on the ground, but the 2nd was without doubt a straight red. That offence seems to have been forgotten over recent seasons but Bowyer was adamant it wasn’t a foul, what a 🛎 ender!
