I never said there wasn't. London was riddled right before locking down. The north was relatively unaffected. Now it appears to be the reverse. Viruses cannot be micromanaged when endemic. The problem can be deferred at significant cost, that's it. I recall back in the day - if you went to the GP with one, you'd get sent away, told to rest as "there is nothing we can do for a virus". If you went there wanting to discuss a killer virus that is highly infectious but mostly asymptomatic, you might have been kicked out of the practice.This might come as a bit of a surprise to you.....but there are stoodent down south as well.
Apparently the pattern for viruses in winter is usually to kick off worse in The North because it’s colder earlier and then get more virulent in the South a bit later. Maybe Covid is just doing that?
