What car do you NOW drive?

We've had the 'first car' thread but what about the car you now drive?

2015 Nissan X-Trail 2.5 4x4 in midnight blue metallic. I've owned over 50 cars and must say that this is amongst the best of them.

Mercedes C class estate 220 4 metic AMG Premium line. The most comfortable car on long journeys I have ever had. Goes like shxt off a shovel if asked.

Can do 630 miles round trip to Bloomers in a day without drama, even in the snow.

Haven’t had a car for a couple of years. Walk to work, train days out and a bit of bus wankering have made it possible.
Am looking at getting a vintage Vw Beetle circa late 60’s early 70’s in the next 12 months and incorporating it as a hobby. My son in law is a mechanic so we are looking together for a decent motor and with his support I intend to maintain and care for it like a baby 😍

Bus what ? Never heard that phrase before. Haha

I’m in a Ford Grand C-Max .... forever covered in $h*t on the outside from days out to farm parks and the inside is worse from the kids eating all sorts of crap.

note to self .... don’t forget to write to Santa for a car cleaning kit

Would love to do that! You need to spray it tangerine though!

I’m sure you will, but make sure you take a good look underneath. Just so your son in law doesn’t have to spend too much time welding or even replacing the floor pan. Start buying Volks World to give you some ideas of how you might want to customise or restore it (then take it to Bug Jam next year 👍)

Thanks for the advice 👍 Yep, I intend to do my research, will check out Volks World. Thank you 👍

Skoda Yeti, ideal for the roads in rural SW Ireland. I had to leave my Merc E320 in France as it would have cost more to import, tax and insure it than it was worth. Miss it though, easily the best car I ever owned.

VW Tiguan. Economical whilst enough ooomph to tow & ground clearance to avoid damage from potholes & some of the more ridiculous speed bumps. I've only had 9 cars in 40 years.
Edit, 10 actually I forgot about the Hillman Hunter (it was a heap) 😂

During the early 1950s my Dad used to drive a 1931, first series, MG Midget, registration GJ5486. My brother and I have been trying to track that car down for 30 years to see if we could buy it. The MG users club couldn't track it and thought it had been exported or scrapped. It then re-appeared on the DVLA database as being registered back on the road in 2010/11. I wrote to the DVLA to ask if they could pass on a letter to the registered owner in the hope of at least seeing it and getting a few photos if we couldn't buy it. The DVLA wouldnt even do that on data protection grounds

Mercedes C Class Sport Premium Plus. One of the few cars that has a sunroof added as standard, when I got it earlier this year I realised how much I enjoyed a sunroof, always had them in my cars when I first started driving. Good looking car, economical, a joy to drive and a fantastic sound system and loads of extras as standard.

Had a lot from a Morris minor soft top to my current car a Mini Countryman which is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. In between I’ve had a escort x3, Tiguan, Range Rover vogue, Range Rover sport, bmw 323, Mercedes and my favourite, a bmw z3 coupe, quite unique and. sh@t off a shovel.

I have not owned a car for about 8 or 9 years and do not miss driving.

I rely on Grab (Asian version of Uber), where you can get picked up in premium cars for about the same price as a taxi - unless it’s a really peak time when prices go up dramatically!!

Grab also brings you food, and will even send a moped to pick up anything you forgot when shopping from the garage or even M&S etc!!

It’s a fantastic App and service.

I have Toyota rav 4 invincible 2013 brilliant motor and pulls the caravan verry well . Wife has Nissan Juke great everyday car . I bought her a 1959 moggy convertable for her 50th good fun driving on those odd sunny days we get

I love my cars. I have an Infiniti Qx70 which is a mean looking , luxurious, fast 4x4 . My other toy is an old Lexus Sc430, a beautiful convertible great to look at and drive.its converted to run on lpg and I can get the equivalent of 50 mpg on a run (from a 4.3 litre ). It will need a respray soon to restore it back to its best.

2013 Volvo XC60. Its like driving an armchair and really suits my current lockdown attire of cardigan, slacks and slippers 😉

BMW 320 M Sport auto, with optional extras,.... Indicators. 😊 & yes I use them & have cruise control set at 70mph for motorways.. I also have lockdown atire of sweatshirt/ fleece (Rohan) Tracky bottoms (Fat face) & slippers (Sorrel) 🤣

A 13 year old Audi A5, which I've owned for 11 years. By quite some distance the best car I've ever owned. Every year I keep thinking of changing it, but it just goes on and on without a squeak. Hence the 11 year ownership

Bob I was in the market for a Land cruiser but picked up a 17 year old XTrail midnight blue 2.2 diesel for 1200 quid. Initially just as a holding measure but im really getting to like it. It even has the lion hunting lights in the roof bars which are a must round West Kirby at night 👍🦁

I can vouch that Seasideone will cheerfully get a cab from the ground to the Bloomfield 😁👍🤣

I decided to 'downsize' last year as I didn't intend any more long runs.
From a Hyundai iX35 Diesel to a Hyundai i20 Petrol.
Nice little car and very economical.
Have only been two runs to Bolton and back since I got it.
Average MPG on a run is 48/50+ MPG.
Bought it in August last year and now got 1,400 on the clock.

None. Just a bike. Save the planet. Cars = destruction.

Boris, seize the moment and stop the sale of new petrol cars in 2025 or sooner. Lead the way, go down in history. It will be like the smoking ban, everyone wondering why we caused so much willful damage for so long, so thoughtlessly.
